Marjorie's Color Challenge #10...

This card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge #10. The challenge was to use the colors Topiary, Buttercup, Kiwi, & Citrus Leaf. I decided I would add black to make my card POP!!! :D This card was inspired by a card that Rohla on SCS made. I started out with a 5" x 10" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I then cut a 4 3/4" piece of Topiary TCS to matte on my base and then a 4 1/2" piece of Buttercup CS to matte on the Topiary. I used my Rustic Flowers stamp set and random stamped onto a piece of White Daisy CS and added two black brads to the center of the two larger flowers. I then stamped the word WISH in Brilliance Graphite Black ink on the random stamped CS. I got the new CB Swiss Dots folder today and could not wait to use it. I ran a piece of Kiwi TCS through my CB and used my corner punch to make the scalloped edge and then I added black stitched ribbon to finish it off.

Stamps: Rustic Flowers & Card Commentary (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy, Topiary, Buttercup, & Kiwi CS (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink, Topiary, Sunny Yellow, Kiwi & Citrus Leaf (CTMH) Other: Black Brads (Spare Parts), Black Stitch Ribbon (CTMH), CB, Corner Punch

Happy Spring

So it's been forever since I have posted, but I am back today with something new! I started by stamping this cute Happy Spring stamp on White Daisy CS using Brilliance Graphite Black Ink. I used my coloring pencils to color in the image and then matted it on a piece of Watermelon CS. The base of my card is a 5 1/2 x 11 piece of Watermelon CS folded in half. I then matted my CS with a piece of Green Polka Dot DP from Making Memories. I then cut a 2 1/2 in. strip of Ocean CS and used my corner punch to make the scalloped edge and then I taped a piece of white twill to the non scalloped edge and placed it on top of the Green DP. And to finish the card I added 3White Daisy Brads to the bottom right hand corner and pop-dotted my sentiment onto the DP.

Stamps: Happy Spring (Stampendous) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink Paper: Watermelon CS, Ocean CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Making Memories DP Other: White Twill (Martha Stewart), White Daisy Brads (CTMH), Coloring Pencils, Corner Punch

Two Hearts, One Lifetime...

I just got the Anniversary Birds stamp set from Verve Visual. I loved this set the moment I saw it. I visited Maren's blog and loved the card she made with this set. I am going to a wedding this weekend and decided to shamelessly case Maren's card. My friends colors are black, red and white so I decided to use those colors for the card. My base is a piece of 6 x 12 Black Textured CS folded in half. Then I matted the Black CS with a piece of White Daisy CS and then matted that with a piece of Cranberry CS that I ran through my Cuttlebug. I stamped the birds on White Daisy CS using Brilliance Graphite Black Ink, Sweet Leaf for the leaves and branches and Cranberry for the sentiment. To finish the card I added some ribbon and just blooms!!! :D

Stamps: Anniversary Birds (Verve Visual) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink, Sweet Leaf & Cranberry (CTMH) Paper: Black, White Daisy, & Cranberry CS (CTMH) Other: Black grosgrain & Just Blooms (CTMH), Black brad (Spare parts)

Have a Fabulous Weekend!!! :D

Sooo Excited....

Do you hate checkin' the mail? Well I have to be honest it's not one of my favorite things to do. We live in an apt. and I hate having to stop and get our mail on our way home(I know I am whining) but I'm just being honest. But funny thing is when I know I have a package coming I will check the mail everyday till the package arrives. (lol) Well me and the hubby were coming back from dinner tonight and we stopped and checked the mail. My hubby got out to get the mail and as I am sitting in the car I can see him having a hard time getting ALL the mail out of our insanely small mailbox. Once he got the package out he leaned over and made this face "like what did you order this time?" It was hilarious!!!! But at that time I knew my Bellas had arrived. I was so excited!!!!!! So I run up stairs so I can open them up and realized that I had TWO packages...one from Bella and one from Verve Visual!!!! By this time I can hardly wait to open the package!!! I had just ordered my new Verve Visual stamps on Tuesday and was so happy to already have them in my hands!!!! So check out my new stuff!!! I am gonna have so much fun inking these up!!!! :D
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!!!

Cosmobella & Marjorie's Color Challenge #8

Here is my card for Marjorie's color challenge #8. The colors you were supposed to use were Key Lime, Breeze, Sunny Yellow & Clover Meadow. I didn't have Clover Meadow so I used Topiary instead. Cosmobella is one of my faves. I stamped her in Brilliance Black Ink on White Daisy CS and used my coloring pencils to color her in. I used Star Dust Stickles to add some bling to her shirt and her martini. I then used my circle punch for the corners and matted her on a piece of Topiary CS also using my circle punch for the corners. My card base is BreezeCS at 4 1/4 x 11. Then I added a piece of Textured Key Lime CS on top. On the Key Lime CS I used my new CTMH rub-ons (it's hard to see on the CS...I should have used them on a darker color) and added 3 yellow brads to the flowers. I hadn't planned on sanding the Key Lime CS but I got a black smudge on it and really didn't have a choice. I added some yellow polka dot ribbon and stamped the word smile for the sentiment. I had a blast with this color combo!!! :D

Stamps: Playful Petals (CTMH), Cosmobella Ink: Brilliance Black Ink Paper: Breeze, White Daisy, Key Lime & Topiary CS (CTMH) Other: Star Dust Stickles, Circle Punch, Brads (Spare Parts), Sanding Block (CTMH), Yellow Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX), Rub-ons (CTMH)

Floral Tapestry...

Hello all...I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! It was such a beautiful weekend here and we had a great time at the cook off. I wanted to share a project I worked on last week for my next class with you. As you know I had made a box with some cards for my friends birthday. I hated to give it away b/c I liked it so much (I'm sure you know what I mean...at least I hope you do). I decided I would make one for myself and make it my project for my next class. With all the cards we make I need something to keep them organized, and if my girls are anything like me they probably have cards laying around EVERYWHERE!!! :D This box will store your regular A2 size cards. I covered the box using CTMH's Floral Tapestry DP using Modge Podge. I loved this paper as soon as I saw it and knew this is what I wanted to use for my card box. I used the circles pattern (my fav) for the outside and a bold stripe for the inside and on the rim of the lid. Once the box was covered I applied a thin coat of modge podge on top of the paper to give it a shine. :D

Of course my favorite part of the box is the lid. I added a strip of Polka Dot Floral Tapestry DP and trimmed the strip with pink satin ribbon. I then used my Rustic Alpha and stamped the word CARDS on a piece of Colonial White CS. I then cut them out leaving part of the White CS as a border & then added embellies. I used some embellies from my stash like flowers, buttons & a few brads.

My next step was to added dividers to separate each occasion. I used a coluzzle file folder template to make these dividers. Then I just added a brad and used my Sans Alpha to stamp each divider (Birthday, Love U, For U, etc...) I still need to add some others to mine, but you get it.

The last pic I have attached is the finished product. I just love how this turned out and the best thing about it is...IT'S ALL MINE!!!! :p
Hope you like!!!!!

Stamps: Rustic Alpha, Sans Alpha (CTMH) Paper: Floral Tapestry DP (CTMH) Ink: Twilight (CTMH) Other: Coluzzle, Pewter Brads, Spriral Clip, Waxy Flax, Colonial White Bigger Brad (CTMH), Flowers from my stash

Busy Weekend...

Good morning!!! I have a busy weekend ahead of me and not sure when I will find the time to create! :( My nephew has his first baseball game this wkend. He's been playing for a few seasons now and it's just so much fun to watch these little kids play. Then the Rodeo is in town so we are going to the cookoff right after his game and will probably spend the remainder of the day out there. Thank goodness the weather is cooperating with us today...it's gonna be a a beauty!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend and maybe if I am not too tired when I come home I can make something to share with you. :D
