Internet still down...

But good thing I can still check all the wonderful comments everyone leaves me from work!!! I am so lost without the internet at home...I guess that just gives me more time to spend creating instead of blog surfing!!! :D I hope to get a lot done...just still really busy. So I have been trying to figure out how to do an expandable post...but I am not really all that great with the computer. So if anyone knows how...let me know b/c I need some help!!! LOL!!! :D But I was trying to do it for the next paragraph that I have typed up concerning my doctor's appt. and I didn't want people to have to read it if they didn't want to. But here it goes...

So I know yesterday in my blog I posted that me and my husband are trying to get pregnant. I went to the doctor yesterday...got some news, but not really what I wanted to hear. In the beginning of April I had a Hysteroscopy done and the doctor removed some polyps. I got the results back about a week ago and the doctor said I had Hyperplasia focal atypia (mainly located in the polyps I had removed)and that they had found some pre-cancerous cells in the uterus. When I heard that I was freaked...I didn't know what to do. So I decided to do some research and found that there were many other women out there that suffer from this. So I went yesterday to see an oncologist that specializes in this and she explained to me that in some cases the best thing to do is have a hysterectomy...but she realizes I am still young (I'm just 30) and that my goal is to have children. My body produces too much estrogen and not enough progesterone, therefore explains the lack of my cycles. So she said the best thing to do is to do 3 months of Progesterone Therapy and after that I will have to have another DNC to see if that helped anything. If nothing has changed I will have to do another 3 months of progesterone and have another DNC done. So as you can see not the news anyone wants to hear, but I am praying that the medicine works after 3 months and that we will be able to try soon after.

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing. I am hoping my internet gets fixed soon so I can post some pics!!! :D Tonight I am going home to clean house for my National Scrapbook Event I am having on Friday. Better do it now instead of the night b/f like I usually do. (LOL)!!! :D

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Fabulous Evening!!! :D

Hey There...

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! :D I had a super weekend with lots of fun!!! My brother had a cookout on Friday and me and my siblings got together with some friends and had dinner and played games. Not sure if I have mentioned this b/f but I am a triplet...I have a brother and a sister the same age and then I have a brother who is 6yrs. older than us. I would say we are a close family and hang out with each other quite often...FUN TIMES!!!! Has anyone played CATCH PHRASE b/f??? We played this game on Friday and it was soooo FUN!!! Girls against boys...the girls lost but it was still so much FUN!!!! Then on Saturday we had a company party and that was fun too. Dinner, drinks, and casino night...it was a blast!!! So I didn't get to work on anything this weekend and if I did I wouldn't have been able to post it anyway. My internet at home is down ( I can't stand it) and I don't know when it will be up again. :C So I am posting this at work on my lunch break and who knows when we will get it working...we have been having problems with it for a while. I wish we could change companies, but we live in an apt. and we have to use what our complex uses (I dislike this very much)!!!

Anywho, I hope everyone has a great Monday...I get to leave work early for a doctor's appt. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, but have run into a few obstacles. I honestly didn't think it would take us this long, but I just know when it happens all of the things that I have been put through will be sooo worth it!!! Well hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!! :D

A Cupcakeabella Thank You & Bella Color Challenge #25...

Woohoo...Friday is here and I am soooo glad!!! :D This week has just been super busy for me at work and home. I have been trying to find a dress for my company party this Saturday...luckily I found one. Our company is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary so we are having a dinner and Casino night...should be fun!!! :D My internet has been down at home for a while and I can't stand it. I hope it gets fixed soon b/c I want to post more this weekend. And your probably wondering if my internet is down how am I posting? Well...I got to work a little early so I am posting this real quick (shhh!) LOL!!! :D Well enough about me...let's get to my card. This card is for the Bella Color Challenge that Sparkle does. Check it out if you want to play!!! :D

The colors to use for this color challenge were Cranberry & Amethyst. I got this new Bella from Laurel for a RAK challenge she was having...so a great BIG THANKS goes out to her for this one!!! This card is a standard 4 1/4 x 11 piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I used all CTMH CS for this card. I didn't have any cute dp to use so I used my infamous new Spot on Backgrounds stamp (love it) for the Amethyst CS. And I also used it to paper piece my cupcake liner. I also used another background for Bella's paper pieced dress (gotta love paper piecing)!!!! I used liquid applique for the cupcake frosting and used a red sparkle for the cherry. I added some brads, a prima & some twill I was done!!! Great color challenge as usual Sparkle...now I just need to finish Marjorie's color challenge so stay tuned!!! :D

Stamps: Cupcakeabella (Stamping Bella), Say It With Style & Spot on Backgrounds (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy, Amethyst, & Cranberry CS (CTMH) Ink: Amethyst & Cranberry (CTMH) Accents: White Daisy Brads, Clear Button, Colonial White Waxy Flax & Red Sparkle (CTMH), White Twill Ribbon (Martha Stewart), Prima Flower, Liquid Applique

Enjoy...

Watermelon that is!!! (LOL) I thought the new stamp set called "Summer Sweetness" was so cute with the watermelons, so when I got my new stuff yesterday I just had to make a card!!! Everything I used is CTMH. I used the Boom-Di-Ada Creative Basics paper & Ric Rac and the black bitty brads. Now those brads are super small...but sooo cute!!! :D I also used the Spot on Backgrounds and Say It With Style stamps.

So I need your help out there...all of you in blog land!!! I need your help in deciding what else this card needs. Maybe you think it's fine the way it is, but I would greatly appreciate your suggestions!!! :D I feel like it's missing something. I feel like maybe I should have matted the watermelon, but not really sure what color to use. I thought about using black but I'm not sure that would really work. So if anyone out there actually reads my blog please, please, please tell me what ya' think!!! :D Thanks for stopping by!!!

Stamps: Summer Sweetness, Spot on Backgrounds & Say It With Style Paper: Boom-Di-Ada Creative Basics, Buttercup, Olive, Hollyhock, Colonial White & Black CS Ink: Hollyhock, Olive, Sweet Leaf & Black Accents: Hollyhock Ric Rac & Black Bitty Brads

I promise this is the last time...

That I use this stamp set today...(LOL)!!! I just heart it so much!!! Anyway, I will make this post short and sweet. Using the Life's a Jungle stamp set I made another card to give to a little girl. I used another color combo that I don't normally turn to...Hollyhock, Olive, & Honey. I used my watercolor brush and inks to color in this adorable lion, and I know lions done have pink manes, but I love it!!!! Ok, well off to cook dinner and then watch some TV!!! :D

Stamps: Life's a Jungle & Spot on Background (CTMH) Paper: Colonial White, Hollyhock, Olive, & Honey CS (CTMH) Ink: Hollyhock & Honey (CTMH) Accents: Flowers, Brads & Twill Ribbon (CTMH)

No Lion, You're The BEST!!!!

Hey all, hope you are enjoying your Sunday!!! Sunday's are sooo relaxing for me. I got up, went to church, had some lunch, and then just got home and I am fixing to work on some cards!!! Then tonight I will watch Desperate Housewives and Brother's & Sisters!!! Anyone else watch Brother's & Sisters??? It's back on tonight...YEAH!!!! You're probably thinking...wow that's pretty boring, but it's how I relax. I don't look forward to Mondays at all. I get so depressed with having to go back to work...but what are you gonna do! Well enough about me...let's get on to this card!!!

I have again used the Life's A Jungle Stamp set for this card...I just can't get enough!!! I also tried a color combo I wouldn't normally do, but I really like how this card turned out. This one is going to my nephew who's 6. Kids really like to get things in the mail, and I am going to send him a gift card to one of his favorites places he likes to eat...he'll love it, at least I hope he will!!!

This card was pretty simple. It's a standard card using Colonial White CS as my base. I then cut a piece of Chocolate CS 4 1/4 x 3 and then used the Spot on Background stamp and stamped the circles in chocolate. This too is becoming one of my FAVORITE stamp sets!!! I then cut a piece of Ocean CS 4 1/4 x 2 and scored and sanded it. Next I cut a piece of Sunflower Textured CS 1 x 4 1/4 and stamped the dots in Sunflower. I distressed the edges and then layered some twill ribbon on top of it. I then stamped my cute little Lion in Chocolate onto a piece Colonial White CS and colored him with my pencils. I then matted him onto some Ocean, Chocolate and Sunflower CS that I lightly distressed , pop-dotted him and added some buttons. And for the sentiment, I just stamped in Chocolate on Colonial White CS and then matted it onto Sunflower Textured CS. I added two brads and pop dotted it in the corner. Easy peasy!!! Well I hope you enjoy what's left of your Sunday...I know I will!!!

Stamps: Life's A Jungle & Spot on Backgrounds (CTMH) Paper: Colonial White CS, Chocolate CS, Sunflower CS, & Ocean CS (CTMH) Ink: Chocolate (CTMH) Accents: Buttons from my stash, Colonial White Waxy Flax (CTMH), Brads, Edge Distresser & Sanding Block (CTMH)

Boom-Di-Ada Flap Card

Hey All!!! Can I just say what a BEAUTIFUL day today was. The weather was awesome here in Houston!!! I wanted to show you a quick flip card I made using Rose Ann's Tutorial on SCS. The tutorial was super easy to do and I just love the outcome of this little flap card. I used the Boom-Di-Ada paper and the Cottage Floral stamp set for the flowers on the flap. I faux stitched on the flap, piercing the edge and using my white gel pen.

I also wanted to show you the inside of the flip card. I cut a piece of cardstock for the middle and embellished it with the flower on the corner. You can either write something or stamp on the cardstock...I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do yet so I left it blank. In the tutorial Rose Ann used magnets, but I decided I would just used velcro dots to seal the card...either way it works!!! Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening...I am off to watch a movie with my hubby!!! :D

Stamps: Cottage Floral (CTMH) Paper: Hollyhock & Colonial White CS (CTMH) Ink: Autumn Terracotta, Hollyhock & Sweet Leaf (CTMH) Accents: Sunkiss Yellow Bigger Brad (CTMH), Twill Ribbon (CTMH), Hollyhock Brad (CTMH)

Boom-Di-Ada...

So here is a sneak peak of the NEW Boom-Di-Ada papers that CTMH will be releasing on May 1st. This is one of my favorite paper packs in the new catalog!!! I just love all these colors together. On the cover of the new catalog there is an awesome layout showcasing these papers and I wanted to create a card from that particular layout. Now it totally did not come anywhere near as gorgeous as the cover of our catalog!!! I am not 100% happy with this card, because I feel like I put alot of work into this card, but didn't create what I had envisioned. The card is a 5x5 base of White Daisy CS layered with Barn Red CS and paper from the Boom-Di-Ada pack. I used the NEW Cottage Floral stamp set for my flowers and buttons from my stash. I also used embroidery thread to stitch a border on my card. For the sentiment I used the NEW Boom-Di-Ada stickease...which is also super cute!!! :D Is is too early to say that I wish it were Friday already??? Well I just hope it comes soon!!!! :D Well...The Biggest Loser Couples Finale is on tonight...GO ALI!!! :D

Stamps: Cottage Floral (CTMH) Paper: Boom-Di-Ada, Barn Red, Buttercup, & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Barn Red, Olive, Hollyhock, Autumn Terracotta, & Sweet Leaf (CTMH) Other: Boom-Di-Ada Stickease (CTMH), Embroidery Thread, Buttons, Pop dots, Sanding Block (CTMH), Ric Rac (Martha Stewart), Flower Chipboard (CTMH)

Let's Get Together...

Happy Monday!!! :D Well I hope everyone had a great weekend, I sure did. And the weather here in Houston was fabulous!!! Well I have been busy working on a card since Saturday morning and have yet to finish it. I have my base the way I want it ,but can't get the main image to come out like I have envisioned it. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Do you ever have this picture in your head of how you want to do something and when you go to work on it, it never comes out like you planned? Well this I must say happens to me a lot!!! Anywho, so today I thought I would post this card that I have had done for a while now and hadn't shared. I hope everyone has a fabulous day and I hope to have something new to share with you tomorrow!!! :D

Stamps: Happy Birthday (CTMH) Paper: Let's Get Together B&T, Cranberry, Breeze, Buttercup & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Cranberry, Breeze & Buttercup (CTMH)

Hello all!!! Here is a card that I made for Marjorie's Color Challenge #13. You were to use at least 3 of the following colors...Goldrush, Autumn Terracotta, Sweet Leaf, & Sunkiss Yellow. This card is pretty simple...seems to be all I have time for right now. I pop dotted the main image and I also pop dotted the small yellow flower for some added dimension. I paper pierced the four corners of the main image and I also pierced a line leading to "Thank You". Pretty fast and easy card to make...nothing too fabulous!!! :D

Laid Back...

Well I've been quite the busy bee at work this week...I think missing two days last week really did me over!!! I've just been so tired when I come home that I don't want to do anything. I mean of course I want to stamp, but if I start it will be late before I finish and then I am hurting the next day at work!!! Oh well, the sacrifices you make (I mean that's what the weekends are for, to sleep in)!!! :D

Well each month I teach a class to a group of friends of mine and mostly all of them are cardmakers. We do little projects here and there, but mostly everyone loves to make cards. Well this Friday they decided they wanted to make a layout *yikes*!!!!! Well this is the first layout I have ever done for a class...I find them way too difficult. I always let my girls pick what papers they would like to work with and this time they chose the Laid Back Papers from CTMH. When I look at these papers I think of pics at the beach or pics from a cruise. Super cute pages just for those vacation memories. I just hope everyone likes them. I know the only way I can get better at layouts is to keep doing them...so that's what I'll do. I really want to get better at them!!!

For this particular layout I recreated a page from the current CTMH catalog. I liked the way this particularly focuses on one photo. I have pics from a cruise that we took back in '04, so that's what I am using my layout for. I distressed the Dutch Blue CS with a White Daisy Ink pad. I sanded some edges, added some embellishments and was done...easy peasy.

Now the second page was a little harder for me. I know it doesn't seem like very much, just super simple but I did have a hard time with it. Now this page was taken from the new CTMH Reflections book, but I can't remember what it's called. Anyway it has room for 3 more pics and the one with the palm tree is a journaling box...too cute, huh? I masked the palm tree and think it came out super cute!!!

Well here they are both together. I'm off to try and complete some challenges and play with my new stuff that I got from CTMH. :D

Have A Fabulous Day!!!

Two Scoops Birthday....

So I decided to make a simple card today...still feeling tired and wanting to create but not wanting to put too much thinking into it. This has to be the simplest and fastest card I have ever made. I just used basic White Daisy Textured CS as my base and Basic Grey Two Scoops DP. Simple card, but simple is good sometimes!!! :D

Stamps: Studio G Clear Stamps, CTMH Happy Birthday Paper: Basic Grey Two Scoops DP, White Daisy Textured CS & Pink Carnation CS (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black

New Camera!!!!

WHOHOO...I am super excited!!! I just ordered myself a new camera from Amazon. I can't wait to get it since I have been so unhappy with the one that I have. I have debated over the last few days on what to get, but I finally made up my mind today and this is what I got!!!!
You like???
Well I can't wait to get it and start taking some pics!!! Well hope everyone has a nice evening!!!

Bella Color Challenge #22 & Bling Challenge

Good evening!!! Today's card features two challenges, one for Sparkle's Bella Color Challenge and one for Vicki's Bling Challenge (she is my SBS 11 Sister)! For the BCC the colors to use were Garnet, Goldrush and Baby Pink. I love how Sparkles uses the CTMH colors b/c that is what I use and it make is so much easier!!! If you do Stampin! Up she also posts those colors as well. And for Vicki's Bling Challenge you were supposed to make a card your choice, the only stipulation is that it has to feature some form of 'BLING'. Whether that be glitter, gems, sparkly buckles, anything you choose. So I used Cosmobella for this card!!! I had to substitute Honey for Goldrush b/c I didn't have any, but I think it's a close second. I added Star Dust stickles to her shirt and martini, and some Pink Rhinestones to the Honey Ribbon for the Bling Challenge. Well off to enjoy the rest of my Saturday night. See ya later!!!

Stamps: Cosmobella Papers: Garnet, White Daisy, Honey, & Baby Pink CS (CTMH)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Other: Pink Rhinestones, Honey Twill Ribbon, Flowers, White Daisy Brad (CTMH), CB Swiss Dots, Star Dust Stickles

Paper Garden Mother's Day...

So I wanted to play with some of my new stamps that CTMH released in their new Summer catalog. So here is a sneak peak of the SOTM called "With Love." I used the Paper Garden B&T papers for this card. I have to say that I wasn't very fond of this paper when I looked at it in the catalog, but when my upline showed it to me I had to get it. I love the colors and the stripes are awesome. I wanted to make something simple and decided to use a previous bella sketch from one of the challenges. For the sentiment I used another Stamp of the Month called "Say it with Style." I stamped the Happy Mother's Day in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink. I like how simplistic this card is and that the image is the main focal point. Well I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! I had a small procedure done this morning so I will be resting as I was put to sleep and still feel a little groggy from the meds. Overall I am in no pain and progressing well. Maybe I will get to create more if I get to feeling better tomorrow!!!! :D

Stamps: CTMH Say it with Style and With Love Paper: Paper Garden B&T, Petal, Sweet Leaf, Blush, & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink Other: Satin Ribbon

Marjorie's Color Challenge #12...

Good Morning!!! It felt so great to sleep in...I totally needed that rest!!! :D
Well just as I promised here is the card I did for Marjorie's Color Challenge #12. This color challenge was a real challenge for me!!! I knew what stamps I wanted to use, but wasn't sure it was gonna come out right. Anyway the colors used were Crystal Blue, Orchid Bouquet, Citrus Leaf, & Pink Carnation.

My base is a 5" x 10" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I then cute a 5" x 5" piece of Crystal Blue to to adhere to my CS, but not before running it through my Cuttlebug using the Spots & Dots Folder. My next step was to cut a 2.25" x 5" piece of Orchid Bouquet CS and then a 2" x 5" piece of Citrus Leaf Textured CS. I adhered the Citrus Leaf TCS on top of the Orchid Bouquet and then took out my paper piercer and pierced the top and bottom of both pieces. Now on to my image. I stamped this cute Elephant (from CTMH's new Stamp of the Month "Life's a Jungle") in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto a piece of White Daisy CS. I then colored him with my pencils and punched him out with my Mega Circle Punch. I then cut out a circle of Pink Carnation CS with my Coluzzle to matte the Elephant. Next I sanded and pierced the edge of the circle. My next step was to stamp the sentiment. I stamped it in BGB Ink onto a piece of White Daisy CS and then matted it on top of some Citrus Leaf TCS. I pierced the bottom right corner and then added some flowers and a white brad to the side of the sentiment. I also added flowers to my circle. I think this Elephant is too cute!!! Thanks Marjorie for challenge!!! :D

Stamps: Life's a Jungle (CTMH Stamp of the Month) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black
Paper: Crystal Blue, Orchid Bouquet, Citrus Leaf, White Daisy & Pink Carnation CS (CTMH)
Other: Paper Piercer, White Daisy Brads (CTMH), Flowers from my stash and a few Primas, CB Spots & Dots

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D

Bella Color Challenge #21...

Good Morning!!! I am so happy that I have the next few days off!!! Maybe I will get to catch up on some stamping!!!! :D Well here is my card for Bella Color Challenge #21. The colors you were supposed to used were Key Lime, Pink Carnation, Baby Pink & Taffy. I hadn't used my Superbella yet, so she was perfect for this challenge.

The card base is a 5" x 10.5" piece of White Daisy CS. I then layered the base with a piece of Key Lime Textured CS. I used my paper piercer and piereced the top right and bottom left corner of the Key Lime CS. I love my new paper piercing template!!!! :D Next I ran a piece of Pink Carnation CS through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder (I heart that folder :D)!!!! I put that aside and started working on my bella image. I stamped Superbella in Brilliance Black Graphite Ink on White Daisy CS. I colored her with my pencils and then layered her on a piece of Taffy Textured CS and put that aside. Next I cute a 2 1/4" piece of Baby Pink CS and used my corner punch to make the scalloped edge. I then taped my Bella image to the Baby Pink CS and added three White Daisy brads to the top and bottom of the image. I had stamped "You're Super" right onto the Bella image but it didn't come out clearly. So I stamped the same sentiment on a piece of White Daisy CS in Brilliance Graphite Black and then layered it on a piece of Key Lime Textured CS. I then added a pink flower and white brad to the top right of the sentiment and adhered it to my Bella image to cover up my previous mistake. I am so glad I made that mistake b/c I like this so much better!!! :D And there you have it!!! This card was so much fun to make!!! Well hope everyone has a great day and come back later for I will have Marjorie's Color Challenge to post.

Stamps: Superbella, Sans Alpha (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Paper: Pink Carnation, Key Lime, Baby Pink, Taff, & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Other: White Daisy Brads (CTMH), Prima Flower, CB Swiss Dots, Paper Piercer, Coloring Pencils

Late Night Again & RAK Card...

I don't know why I stay up so late!!! Maybe b/c it's the only real time I have to stamp, but I should definately be in bed by now. I have to get up every morning @ 545am to get to work on time. Let's just say on nights like these when I don't want to stop stamping...it's hard for me to get out of bed!!! :D

Ok, now that I have rambled on I can get to the card!!! I made two cards using my new Gardenbella stamp with the Two Scoops Basic Grey papers. Pretty simple card, but not sure they are the best that I have done. I used my coloring pencils to color Bella, but I don't really think these go all that well with this paper. These are the only colors I had, so I had to make it work. I hope those receiving them will like them!!! Well off to bed I go!!! See you back here tomorrow!!! :D

Stamps: Gardenbella & Say It With Style (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Twilight (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy, Baby Pink & Twilight CS (CTMH), Two Scoops DP (Basic Grey)
Other: Two Scoops Buttons (Basic Grey), Just Blooms (CTMH), Swiss Dots CB, Pop Dots, Rick Rack (Martha Stewart)

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D
