I've been a little busy...

And this little munchkin is the reason why. It's been crazy busy around my house trying to get on a schedule/routine with the new little one, going back to work and buying a house. Max was born on Feb. 16 and it's been one crazy ride since...but I wouldn't change a thing! :) Here are a few pics of my little one. He's growing so fast and everyone said he would, but I didn't expect it to be that fast! These pictures are within weeks of each other. The last pic is the most recent one...he's 11wks already!

We have finally moved into our new house. Being a first time home buyer is real exciting and I'm just glad that we have a new place for Max to grow up. We are still unpacking boxes, but I know it will all come together soon enough...I just need to be patient...and that's hard to do! LOL!!!

Well thanks for stopping by! Once I get all my crafting goodies unpacked, I hope to be crafting soon. I really, really miss it and hope that in a few weeks I can get back into the groove...it's been way too long! :)

Baby Shower Invites

Hello there! I hope everyone is having a fab Monday so far. I've been under the weather since Friday with a horrible constant, nagging cough and sore throat. I decided to stay home today to get some more rest in so hopefully I won't be sick during the Thanksgiving Holidays. I have a card today...well actually an invitation. My sister and I are working on my baby shower invites, and I hope we can get them all done by the end of this week...keeping my fingers crossed!!! Both of my baby showers are in January. My sister and SIL's are throwing my first shower and my Aunts are throwing the second one. I can't wait to see all my friends and family that I haven't seen since I've been pregnant.

Anywho, here is the invite (please excuse the poor quality of the pic...I'm so out of practice.) Please tell me what you think of the invite. I like it, but I'm not sure I like it 100%. The sketch is from Niki Estes of "My Paper Creations." I fell in love with the simplicity of it. I really like the different patterns of paper going on here, but I'm not sure I like the words Baby Shower stamped on the bottom. Should I add a tag or something with those words. Does it need something else?!?! What do you think?!?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Hello...

Just stopping by to say HI! :) I was so ready for the weekend to get here, this week was so slow for me. It's a beautiful weekend in Houston, the sun is shining and the weather is cool...what more could you ask for?!?!

We spent the morning watching my nephew play soccer and then we did some shopping. I bought my first couple pair of maternity pants today. Up until now I was able to still wear all my other clothes...which I thought was great! But I'm getting to the point where my jeans are fitting a little snug and I needed some more breathing room. When I tried them on it was like heaven...I can breathe...LOL!!! :) I am now 23 weeks and this past week we had another doctor's appt. Everything went well, the baby is now 1lb. 5oz. and seems to be right on track!!! If there was ever any doubt that I thought well maybe they got it wrong, maybe we are having a girl...I was wrong. We got some great pics of him showing the world that he truly is a boy...LOL!!! :)

Well I'm off to spend the afternoon with some girlfriends and then I'll be coming back home to clean out some of my scrapbooking things. I'm getting ready to sell some of my stamps that I now longer use or haven't used in a while. I've got to get rid of some of this clutter before the little one arrives. I figure if I haven't used it in a year, then maybe, just maybe it's time to let it go!!! :)

Edited to Add: Some of you have asked when my due date is. It is Feb. 12th.

Ok, so I said in my last post that as soon as we found out what we were having I would let you know. We found out this morning that we are having a BOY!!! :) Now it's time for us to start thinking about boy names, because all we had was girl names picked out...LOL!!! :)

I'm just so glad we know now...let the shopping begin! LOL!!!

Long Time No Post

Hi there! I hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to give an update and let everyone know how things are going. Everything is moving along just fine with the baby. Last Friday I was 20 weeks...so I'm halfway through! YAY!!! :) Very soon we are going to find out what we are having and I absolutely can't wait!!! I'm not gonna say the date on here (I know my sister reads this...LOL!) because I've been keeping it a surprise and I haven't told anyone what date we are finding out, but it will be very, very soon! ;) And as soon as I find out I will let all of you know! :) I've also been contemplating about whether to come back to work once the baby is born. I love my job, but I feel like I won't know until the baby is here. I'm not too keen about putting my baby in daycare at 6wks. old either. Trust me, I have nothing against daycare. My parents ran a daycare business for 20 something years, so I know a lot about it. But I would rather wait til the baby was a year before I did that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

It seems like every weekend we have something to do...it's been crazy. How 'bout ya'll? Between my nephew's soccer games, birthday dinners and shopping for baby furniture, my weekends are just jammed packed. I keep looking over at my scrapping table, still wanting and needing to ink up some of my new stamps and I haven't. I really hope to soon! :) This weekend my brother is having a garage sale (one of those that the whole neighborhood participates in) and so I've decided to help out with that. Plus we are cleaning out our spare bedroom for the baby so I know that I need to get rid of some things that are there collecting dust! Anywho, enough of me rambling. I just wanted to say hi and let everyone know what's been going on with me.

Time For An Update

Hey there! Well I figured it's about time to give you guys an update on how things are going.

I am doing absolutely terrific!!! Today I am 13wks and I am so glad to be over that first trimester hump. Now I feel like I can relax a little. Though the first trimester did come with some complications. I was on bed rest for a couple a weeks, which by the way was torturous. But I've been back at work for about 4wks now and everything is fine with the baby and I. I'm still feeling quite tired but I'm hoping that will all go away soon. There's so much that I want to do, but just don't have the energy.

I've had many ultrasounds since I had to stay with the fertility clinic till I was 10wks. But Tuesday was the first time that we had actually heard the baby's heartbeat and it was so AWESOME!!! :) My due date is Feb. 12, 2010 and in 8wks. we will find out if we are having a boy or girl. I absolutely cannot wait till we find out...I really want a little girl! :) My husband wants a boy for fear of having a girl first will make him too soft! LOL!!! :) But it really doesn't matter as long as our baby is healthy!!! :)

Thanks to everyone who left me comments on my last post. You all are so very, very sweet! :) Hope to get back to doing something crafty soon!!! I just placed a Bella order so hoping those will get my mojo flowing! :)

Some BIG, BIG NEWS!!!

Hi there! :) First off I want to say how sorry I am for not posting for over a week and a half already. It's been a crazy week and I have some fantastic news to share with you...I'M PREGNANT!!!! :)

Words can't even say just how I excited I am!!!!!!! My husband and I have been trying for some time now and I'm just so excited that it has finally happened! :) For the last week, I was feeling sooooo exhausted and was feeling some of the early symptoms and I just knew that something was different. I just feel that everything I've been through was so worth it right now...I wouldn't trade it for the world. All the shots, doctor's appts. and tears were so worth it, although I didn't feel that way at the time.

Right now I am 4 1/2 weeks and in two weeks I can have my first ultrasound...I absolutely can't wait! :)

So I just thought you guys might want to know why I've been away for a while. But I hope to get back to crafting real soon, so please bare with me.

Hey there! I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend thus far. It's been a very relaxing weekend for me...I got a few crafty things done! :) Here's my card for Jen's SFYTT. I really liked the sketch and couldn't wait to get working on it.

My niece's birthday is this coming Saturday, so I thought I would get a head start and work on something special for her. I found this American Craft's Teen Paper at my LSS yesterday and I thought it would be perfect for a 12yr. old. I just loved the bright colors, and what better stamp to pair it with than with Maisy Ketto. I just love the little crown she's wearing...too cute! :)

Birthday Wishes

Wow, I can't believe it's Thursday already! And believe it or not...I am so ready for the weekend to get here!!! :) Even though it was a short work week, it's been a busy one. Last night I worked on Dawn McVey's Raspberry Sweet Color Challenge #7. All I have to say is that this color combo ROCKS!!!

For this card, I used Prism Spring Willow, CTMH White Daisy & PTI Raspberry Fizz & 2008 Bitty Dot Basics in Spring Moss. I also used Dawn's set Damask Designs as well. This set is just gorgeous and I had so much fun working with it. I stamped Watermelon Ink onto the Raspberry Fizz CS and embossed it with clear embossing powder...just to give it some umph! :) You can't tell in the picture, and even if you can it's very faint...but I scored the bottom part of the Bitty Dot paper...like I said it's very faint. It really looks good IRL though...you'll just have to trust me! :) I added some stitching, some Primas and I again...I used PTI's Mega Mixed Messages for the sentiment. Seriously, if you don't have this set you should get it. There's so many great sentiments and the fonts are just fabulous! :) I used my Tags Trio Nestabilities for the sentiment and just like Debbie Olson does, I cut it and rounded the edges. I used some waxy flax to tie my sentiment around the ribbon and called it done! :)

I had a ridiculously hard time trying to photog this pic and this was the best I could do. Tell me, how do you girlies photograph your pics. What kind of lighting do you use, tents, etc.? I would love to know what kind of set-up everyone has!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #19

Happy Wednesday!!! :) This weekend another sketch challenge I worked on was the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge that Karen Giron has every Sunday! This card was featured last week and I couldn't have been happier...thanks Karen! :) I just loved the simplicity of this weeks sketch, so I went with less is more for this card...you likey?!?!

I used another Ketto and her name is Anise. I stamped her in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with my CTMH Markers. I also added some Star Dust Stickles to the flower centers and her wings...she's too cute IRL! :) I again used my new favorite sentiment set from PTI called Mega Mixed Messages....I just can't stop using it! ;) I added a few Creative Cafe buttons and pop dotted my image onto my base of Prism Spring Willow CS and whola! :)

Rollanda Ketto SFYTT

Hey there, Happy Tuesday! :) I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I spent a lot of time with family and on Monday spent the day in my craft room...how can you beat that?!?! So here is my card for Jen's SFYTT, and decided that today was just as good as any to use my new Ketto's! :)

I stamped Rollanda Ketto in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with my Copics. I added some Star Dust Stickles to her wings and put her aside to dry. I then worked on my base using the My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow papers again. I just heart these papers...so fun! :) Once my base was done I cut out Rollanda Ketto with my Labels One Nesties and then I taped her onto some striped paper from the same line, using my scissors to cut out a border. I then stamped "hello" with Brilliance Coffee Bean Ink, added some Primas and a brad and called it done! :) Well I hope everyone has a fabulous day!!! Hi There, Early Bird!

Good Morning! All I have to say is that I am super stoked that it is Thursday already and I can't wait for the weekend. It will be so nice to have a 3 day weekend...I can't wait to just sleep in. So this here card is for Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #229. This is my first ever Splitcoast Sketch Challenge and I love it. Although I had to flip it on its side to get my image to fit, I'm really happy with how this card turned out. And did you see the title?!?! I used the new Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers for this card. I am so in love with this paper, and I've been stalking my LSS wondering when they were gonna get it in! LOL!!! :) Anywho, let's get to the deets of this card shall we?

My base is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Colonial White CS. I added a piece of Tulip CS on top of my base after I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. Next I worked on the two bottom panels. This is Early Bird Apron Strings and it's so pretty! I matted the green piece on Dark Candle Glow by Prism and the middle panel is matted on a piece of Spring Moss by Prism. I inked all the edges with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks. I really love the vintage look it gives this card. Next I stamped my Bella twice, once onto Colonial White CS and then again on White Daisy CS. I colored the White Daisy CS with my CTMH Markers and cut her out. I then pop dotted her onto the Colonial White CS. My sentiment comes from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages set...love it! :) I added a few copper brads and called it done.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #68

Good Morning! :) I'm back with another card today. But first off, please excuse the horrible pic I took this morning before heading to work. I will try and get a better one when I get home. Anywho, back to this post! :)

My SIL's birthday is this Friday and we are going out RA Sushi for dinner. I'm so not into Sushi, but I will go because she is my SIL, and it will still be lots of fun getting together with everyone! :) I needed to make her a card, so I decided to work on Taylor's Cupcake Challenge last night. It was so quick and easy that I had this card done in no time, I mean once I figured out what papers and stamp to use! Which sometimes can be the most difficult part of the process! LOL! :)

I've had these My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow papers for a while now and decided it was time to finally start using them. These papers were so fun to work with and my favorite are those large polka dots in the background! :) I colored Underwatergoddess-Abella with with my Copics and used my Clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen to add some shimmer to her scales. It looks so shimmery IRL. I also cut out another star and pop dotted it adding some Star Dust Stickles for some more shimmer! I added some stitching, a sentiment and a Prima and called it done! :)

Well that's it for me today. I hope to be back tomorrow with something new, but I can't promise. Two day's in a row is pretty good for me these days! LOL!!! :)

A Quick Little Question?!?!

Hey there everyone! I have a quick question for anyone who can help me out. I recently purchased the Making Memories Ribbon Slot Punch and I'm having a hard time punching the paper. It says that you can use the instant setter or hammer with it, so I bought the hammer. I tried using it last night, but you could only see the outline of the punch, it never really punched the paper through.

So my question is "What am I doing wrong?" Does the instant setter work better? What do you set your cardstock on before hammering the punch? Ok, I realize that was more than one question...I got a little carried away! LOL!!! :) Ok, anyone who can help me would be greatly appreciated. I have been wanting this punch for a while now and now that I finally got it, I can 't use it properly. Go figure! :) Have a great afternoon! ~ Jenn

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #18

Well, hello there! :) I apologize to all who read my blog for being absent so long. I've had a lot going on this past month, but it's getting better and I finally felt like stamping yesterday so let's get to it, shall we?!?! I'm here today with a card I made for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I've missed doing a lot of the sketch challenges and thought I would start with Karen's to try and get my mojo going and she totally didn't disappoint.

Since I've been away, I ordered some stamps from Papetrey Ink that arrived and I just had to ink them up! So I started with Scattered Showers by Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite. This set is absolutely adorable with all it's umbrellas and different patterns, and the sentiments are just perfect. I love the one I chose for this card, I mean who wouldn't cheer up after seeing this card?!?! I also used some new My Mind's Eye paper that I picked up from my LSS. I am so lovin' this Penny Lane Collection...it's just too fun! :)

Beee Mine

Hey there! :) So I had some time last night to ink up this adorable little Huggabugg and combine a couple of challenges, which is always a good thing! :) I used Amy's Rysavy's Friday Sketch #56 and the colors come from the Bellarific Friday Challenge that Em posted yesterday! You can use any color combo from the pic and the only thing you must do is include a flower! That's pretty easy...right?!?! LOL!!! :)

I stamped Beeemine Huggabug with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I then colored her with my copics and added two Black Doodlebug Glittered Brads to her antennas...so cute IRL! I used my new paper from My Mind's Eye Penny Lane Collection "Feeling Groovy" (love it) and added some stitching and a few White Daisy Bigger Brads and called it done! :)

Sweet Sunday Sketch #12

Good Morning! Is it bad that it's only Tuesday and I already wish the weekend was here again?!?! LOL!!! :) I've just been extremely exhausted lately and haven't felt the best...but I'm gonna push through it, because that's what I do! :) I have another Sweet Sunday Sketch card to show you this morning. Karen's sketches are so fun and I always look forward to seeing what she comes up with every Sunday!

I decided I would ink up these sweet little birdies from the Kim Hughes 'The Birds and the Bees (Love)' set! And I paired them with some October Afternoon paper that I just love! I'm almost done using all my scraps of this paper...I will be sad to see it go! :( The sentiment comes from the set too. It says Sweetie Pie, but I only inked up the Sweetie and stamped it on my card...I just love it! :)

Well I gotta run! I have a lot of work to do today and then off to Boot Camp I go! :)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #3

Happy Monday!!! Did everyone enjoy their weekend?!?! I was busy searching for a new desk. My husband bought me a new computer and monitor, but I didn't want to set it up till I had the right desk. I knew exactly what I wanted and I searched everywhere for it. Thank goodness I found it at Target and I love it! This weekend I was able to work on Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Challenge #3. There were five colors in the challenge...Red, Berry, Soft Pink, Vanilla & Kraft! This card took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to finish. I had trouble figuring out the best way to fit all those colors on the card...LOL! :) I think I did an O.K. job so here goes!

When I first saw Jessie's card, I just knew I had to get me some of these digital stamps from the Little Paper Shop. Isn't little Katie the cutest?!?! I just had to have her!

I colored Katie with my CTMH markers and layered her onto a base of Berry Sorbet CS. I then added some Stardust Stickles to the butterfly and some Kaiser Pearls and flowers from Making Memories for embellishment. Now that I look at it, I should have added some ribbon...it just feels like it's missing something! Oh well...too late to change that now!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #11

Hey there! Well I was finally able to take a decent pic of my card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #11. I've had it done since Monday, but we've had crappy weather all week and today is the first day that it's not raining (well we did have a storm come through this morning, but it' gone now) and the sun is brightly shining! :D

I used my Growing with Unity stamp for this card...that bird is so whimsical! :D I didn't do a whole lot to this card...just didn't think it needed too much froo froo stuff on it. So when I was done I just added some brads and a Prima and called it done!

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their Thursday! I had jury duty (thank goodness I didn't get picked) this morning and just got home from eating lunch with my hubby! :) He didn't even know I was coming to see him, so he was totally shocked! I even got lost when I was in Downtown Houston, but I wanted it to be a surprise so I couldn't call to ask him to help me!!! LOL!!! :) But I found my way around and all was good.

Well I'm off to get some laundry done, take a nap and then off to boot camp I go! So have a great afternoon and hope to be back soon with something crafty! :) ~ Jenn

Has my mojo gone?!?! Oh where oh where can it be?!?! LOL!!! Hey there! Sorry for the lack of posting, but I have just been mojo-less for the last few days! I've tried...I've really, really tried to make a card, but nothing ever comes of it.

Last night I sat down to do a sketch challenge and after two hours I only had my card base done! Every image I stamped or colored I ended up not liking...ever feel like that? I don't know what it is? I even went to my LSS and bought some new papers and cardstock and that didn't even get my mojo going...what's up with that?!?! Something is seriously wrong....LOL!!! :) All I know is that things have been really busy here lately...between work, multiple doctor visits and boot camp, I just can't seem to get anything done which has been very stressful. Oh well, I hope you'll bare with me till I get something created. I just might post a card I made on Sunday tonight...if I can get a good pic of it this afternoon. Well I don't have anything crafty today. I've been totally exhausted this week and last weekend I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this weekend I can get some crafty stuff done.

I do have this super cute award that Beth, Kari, Lori & Barb sent me. All of these ladies are so super sweet and always leave the most nicest comments on my blog-o! Two Challenges in One

Hey there! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, mine was good but busy. We went out looking at computers on Saturday. I think we went to about every store that sells computers to price the same one out. We did a lot of running around, but I think we've found one that we like, we just need to go and get it now.

I've been busy at my craft table whittling away at some cards to post this week! My card today combines two challenges. The first challenge being Dawn McVey's very first color challenge called Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Week 1. Dawn's cards are always so fun, bright and cheery and I couldn't wait to get started on the color challenge! :D The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #10.

Sophia was stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I then colored her with my Copics and cut her out with my Rectangle Nesties. I matted her onto a piece of Bazzill Bitter Chocolate CS and added a couple of Primas. I used some more paper from the DCWV Citrus pack...it's slowly becoming my new favorite! I also did some stitching and added three different sizes of CTMH White Daisy brads.

Happy Saturday! It felt good to sleep in this morning...even if it was till only 8am. Last night I worked on Taylor's sketch, and since my Sophia's were feeling a little bit neglected I pulled out my all time fave "Fluttering By Sophia" and got her inky! :D

I stamped her with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with Copics. I cut her out using my Oval Nesties and put her aside. I used some new paper from the DCWV pack called "Citrus." These colors are so fun and springy...I just love it! :) I of course added some stitching and put the center scalloped panel and oval on pop dots and called it done!

I plan on getting some more cards done this weekend because I have a busy week planned next week! I start taking Boot Camp classes twice a week for the next month, so I want to be a little bit pro-active in getting some cards made so I can post throughout the week! :) Because lets be honest...after Boot Camp all I want to do is come home, shower and go to bed! Porcelain Cupcakes

Hey there! I'm back with another card to share with you today...and it's not a BELLA! :) I decided to pull out my What's Up Cupcake? set from MFT and do Taylor's sketch from last Friday! And of course I had to use my new Basic Grey Porcelain Paper! I've had this paper for weeks and just haven't found the right thing to use it on till now. The paper is so elegant and I thought these cupcakes would go perfect with it! :)

I stamped the cupcakes in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored them with my Copics. Once dry, I stamped some sprinkles in the same color and add some Chocolate Kaiser Pearls to the tops of each cupcake...looks yummy, huh?!?! Now I added some stitching, but boy was it tough. I thought stitching in a straight line was harder, but I was proven wrong! I have seen many cards where there is stitching, but it's all...let's say "wonky!" I really love that look so that's what I was trying to achieve on my card today. Like I said...practice makes perfect! :)

Mojo Monday #78

Hey there, Happy Wednesday! I'm back with another creation just like I said I would be! :) My card today is for Mojo Monday #78. Julee always has fantastic sketches and this one was no exception! I knew right away that I would be using some October Afternoon paper that I had in my stash. To be honest, I'm not even sure what line it's from, but I thought Daisybella would go perfect with it! :)

ETA: I found the name of the line of the October Afternoon paper I used, it's called "Weather Vane". The Polka Dot piece is called Chilly Mornings and the Flower piece is called Sweater Weather.

I stamped Bella in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with my copics. I added a gold colored rhinestone to her daisy and matted her on top of some Brown Polka Dot dp and Bazzill Teal CS (not sure of the name so we'll just call it Teal). I used my corner rounder to round all the layered edges and stamped the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and set her aside. Next I worked on my base stitching all three strips of paper in place. I added some satin pink ribbon and pop dotted my image to the base and called it done...easy peasy! :)

Well I hope you're not getting tired of seeing Bellas! I know all my other stamps are feeling neglected at the moment, so I promise to have something other than a Bella tomorrow! Til then, I hope you have a fabulous day! :) ~ Jenn

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! :) Hope everyone has been doing well. Sorry for the lack of posting lately. I've just been super busy and I've also been taking some meds that don't make me feel well so I haven't been crafting much lately. But everything is fine now and I have definitely missed being crafty. I've been itching to color these Goodluckabella images that Sparkle was so kind to send me and make a St. Paddy's Day card with her. I used BSC #71 and flipped the sketch...I just love the way it came out! :)

I colored Bella with my Copics & CTMH markers and added some stitching to the main panel and image. I'm not the best at keeping the paper straight when stitching, but I hope to get better at it....practice makes perfect, right?!?!? I just love the two greens that I paired together with the yellow...so fun and cheery! :) I printed the sentiment from my computer using the French Script font and I really love the way it looks with this card! :)

In this pic you can see where I added some Lime Green Stickles to the clover in her hat and the clovers that she's carrying in her bucket! I wasn't going to pop dot the bucket originally, but while my card was drying from the wet stickles, it fell and the stickles smeared. But I really like the way it looks on the card...so I guess you can say some things happen for a reason!!! LOL!!! :)

Bella Sketch Challenge #70

Happy Wednesday! This week seems to be flying by and that's a good thing. I've got a busy but fun weekend planned...so I can't wait for it to get here! :D Before I go on about this card, I have to apologize for the awful pic! I took it this morning when there wasn't a whole lot of light out yet and it looks all blurry!!! I will definitely be taking another pic when I get home this afternoon. Well not that that's off my chest onto the card shall we!!!! This card is for BSC #70. I thought the sketch was great so I couldn't wait to play, especially since I had some new stamps that needed inking! :D

I've been seeing this October Afternoon paper on a few blogs lately so I knew I wanted to use this paper for my card! I have a few more scraps left so you'll probably be seeing this again! ;) Appley Bowl Huggabugg is so sweet! I colored her with my Copics and added some sparkle to her wings and polka dot dress with my Copic Spica Glitter Pen. I also added some liquid glass to the apples to give it a shiny look, it looks so pretty IRL. I cut out my image with the Labels One Nesties and pop dotted her onto my base. After adding a flower, button & a sentiment she was done! :D I'll be giving this card to my friend tomorrow night at dinner. Her birthday was Monday and we are going out to celebrate!!! Hey there! I've got another Anya card to show you today and she is Dorothy Anya. Isn't she the cutest thing ever?!?! I tried to use Jen's SFYTT from a couple of weeks ago, but that totally didn't happen. I used some elements of the sketch, but I couldn't fit Anya into an oval so I just pop dotted her onto my base.

I used some of my new Basic Grey Eva dp for this card and of course I had to add some stitching! I mean what would one of my cards be without stitching?!?! I know...it's a sickness! LOL!!! :D I colored her with my Copics and CTMH Inks & blender pen. I stamped the sentiment with Purple Pansy Ink and added two pink Creative Cafe Buttons and looped some waxy flax through the centers!

Hey there! I've got a quick post for you today. I just love Anya & Ian and as soon as I saw this Geisha Anya digi image I was in love!

I got my new Basic Grey paper in the mail yesterday and I couldn't resist using it with this image. The colors are so bright and cheery and right up my ally! :D I color Geisha Anya with my Copics and added some sparkle to her kimono with my Copic Spica Glitter Pen, but of course you can't see it in the pic. I did some stitching and added some flowers and brads and called it done.

Hope everyone's Wednesday is going well! :D It's been over a week since I've posted, but I've just been super busy lately. I've been trying to finish reading Breaking Dawn...the last of the Twilight books. I am so close to finishing so hopefully this weekend I'll be done!!! Another bummer is that my computer monitor at home has gone bye bye! It has been giving us trouble for a while now, and it finally quit on us last week so I am patiently waiting to get another one. In the meantime, I am gonna use my husbands laptop...but I am not too fond of it.

Mojo Monday #74

Well it's back to work for me today...ugh! LOL!!! I really enjoyed my day off. I was able to work on a few cards and I even got to take a little nap! :D Here is my card for Mojo Monday #74. This card took me a little longer than normal. I kept messing with the ribbon trying to get it right and I ended up tearing a piece of my image panel. I tried to fix it without having to do the whole image again, but I just couldn't make it work.

I stamped my image in Chocolate Ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing powder and I stamped the leaf branch with Juniper Ink and embossed it as well. I sewed each panel and added brads to the corners. I stamped the sentiment with Sorbet Ink and layered it on a piece of Prism Bitter Chocolate CS and rounded the corners with my corner rounder. I then added some Cocoa ribbon and the whole image is pop dotted onto my base.

Well I hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday! It's another boot camp class for me this evening. My brother can bring friends and family for two weeks and the classes are free...so might as well take advantage and go to as many as I can! Take care ~ Jenn

Here's my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #55. I have to admit that this sketch was a bit intimidating to me, but once I got working on it...it was fine! I've had these bittyblooms for a while, but haven't been able to ink them up till now...so bare with me! LOL!!! :D

I stitched each panel to my base...I just {heart} my sewing machine. I stamped Bluebell Bittybloom with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I colored her with my CTMH Markers and cut her out with my Circle Nesties and pop dotted her onto my base. I then stamped "sweet friend" in the top right hand corner and added a flower and button and called it done.

Hey there, I'm back with another post today! It's been just a fabulous Sunday...we went to church this morning and then went downtown to eat lunch with my brother. It's been a very joyous and relaxing day...spending time with the people I love. When we got home I settled into some comfy clothes and told my hubby that I'd be stamping the rest of the afternoon! :D I loved Jen's sketch when I saw it and I've been chomping at the bit since yesterday to get it done!

I inked up Poppy Bittybloom for this one...isn't she just the sweetest?!?!?! I also used some of my new paper that I got at my LSS yesterday...it's by Making Memories called Paperie Rouge & Mocha. My Creative Space...

Hey there...Happy Sunday! :D I hope everyone enjoyed a special Valentine's Day with their sweeties! :D My husband and I went to dinner and then came home and watched some movies. He surprised me with roses during the day and when we went to dinner he gave me a gift card to Massage Envy...and I can't wait to use it!!! LOL!!! :D

Well I didn't' get to create yesterday, but I did finally get my husband to hang my Making Memories shelf above my scrapping table so I could have everything in one place. So, after I organized everything I took some pictures to show you all! I figured I better do it now since it's all clean. ;)

So here is where all the magic happens!!! LOL!!! :D I make cards in a small space in our bedroom (I guess it's better than the kitchen table) that's between my armoire and a big window. My little card table can get messy quick...but I love my space! One day when we get a house I hope to have my own little room...till then this works for me!

Here's a side view...

In this pic you can see all my yummy ribbon that I have arranged by color. And there's my table with all my goodies. That pink and white checkered basket is what I keep my trash in and I have two brown wicker baskets right beside it. The one next to my trash bin is where I keep all my embellishments and second one is where I keep all my Cuttlebug Folders, Nesties and Paper Prettie stamps! :D Next to the baskets is a plastic white organizer. I keep my CTMH and Copics in there, as well as few tools and stamped images. The little white pail next to the organizer is where I keep my scissors, tombow, bone folder, and paper piercer. And underneath my table is where I keep my Janome Sew Mini and my Cuttlebug. No way can I fit all that on this small table...but it works!

Here's a close-up view of my shelf. It has all my goodies on it...like my stickles, CTMH buttons, Primas, CTMH Ribbon and Brads and all my ink! I wanted to put all my punches up there, but they wouldn't fit. So right next to my chair is where I keep a basket of all my punches and I also have a jar that sits right by the punches that all my buttons are in! :D

50's Sweethearts

It's Friday, its' Friday!!! :D I am so glad that Friday is here because I have a three day weekend...woohoo!!! I have some things that I need to take care of on Monday, but my husband is also leaving on another trip so I also want to spend some time with him before he leaves. Hopefully this is that last trip he'll have to take for a while.

Well I have the cutest card (IMHO) to share with you today!!! LOL!!! While browsing through blog land...I've seen some uber cute stamps that I couldn't wait to get my hands on. They are from The Greeting Farm and they are Anya & Ian stamps...and oh my are they cute! I was browsing through the Greeting Farm website and I came across the Club Anya blog. And searching through there I found this gorgeous card that Sandra made and I knew I just had to have them!!! Check out Sandra's blog because she is amazing!!! So I jumped in and got some digital stamps...talk about instant gratification!!! LOL!!! :D I printed them on cardstock and I was set! :D

I thought this would make a cute Valentine card! I will give this to my hubby on Valentine's day and stick the other card I made for him in his suitcase for his trip! I colored Anya & Ian with my Copics and layered them on a piece of Black & Baby Pink CS. My base is a 4 1/2" x 9" piece of White Daisy CS. I layered it with a piece of Embossed Polka Dot Black CS. And of course this card wouldn't be complete without some stitching on it. I then added four Cranberry brads and pop dotted my image to the base. For the sentiment I just used my circle punches and stamped "Be Mine" in Cranberry Ink and pop dotted it onto my image. And there you have it...a super cute Valentine for my cutie! :D

Bella Sketch Challenge #67

Hey there! Well I've finally had the chance to ink up my Daisy Bittybloom from Stamping Bella...yay me!!! :D I just loved these when I first saw them...they are just so super cute! :D Gerber Daisies are my absolute favorite flower so I just knew I had to have this stamp as soon as I saw it! :D I placed another order with Stamping Bella yesterday since she was offering free shipping! I just couldn't pass up the chance to get some more of those adorable Huggabugs...I'm thinking they're gonna be my newest obsession! LOL!!! :D

I decided to take a break from my most recent obsession {Basic Grey Bittersweet} and use some new paper by Making Memories called Chloe's Closet. It's just the cutest paper pack ever and it just makes everything so fun and cheery! :D I stamped Daisy Bittybloom with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with my Copics and CTMH Markers. I outlined her with my Clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen...but you can't see all that shimmer in the photo...it really came out cute! I decided to continue with my other obsession as of late which is sewing everything in site! So I sewed each panel I made except for the border of hearts! :D I added a few Colonial White Brads and some Primas and called it done. I didn't add a sentiment because I'm not sure what it should be! Anyone have any suggestions...I would love to hear them?!?!?!

Happy Wednesday everyone! :D Just a few more days closer to the weekend...yippeee! :D I worked on a few cards last night, but I couldn't get a good picture of one I wanted to show you this morning. So I will show you my last Pink, Brown & Bittersweet card combo that I have. I hope your not too getting tired of this combo and paper...I promise this will be the last one for a while....I just couldn't help myself!!! LOL!!!

I used some Prism CS for my base that I got from my LSS, but I can't remember the color for the life of me. I also picked up some sweet Embossed Pink Polka Dot CS while I was there too...but it didn't have a label so I'm not sure who makes it. This card came together fairly quickly. Can you tell I am LOVING my sewing machine?!?! I think I have sewed on the last few cards that I have done and I just can't get enough of it! :D My focal image is a set of stamps called Sweet Love...I {heart} this stamp set! I stamped them in Hollyhock, Desert Sand, Blush & Cocoa...alternating each color. I've seen a lot of cards lately with the ribbon hanging off just a bit and tied with a button and string of some sort...so I thought I would try that. I just love the way it looks! :D

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #54

Hey there! I've got a quick post for you today. Seems like I'm always a day late when it comes to challenges, but I love to do Taylor's challenges when I can...so here is my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #54.

I hope I didn't go too overboard with all the patterns in this card...it may be too busy for some out there. I used Basic Grey's Bittersweet paper again...I can't get enough of this stuff! I also did a bit of stitching and inked up a lot of my edges on this card and I just love the look it gives. I {heart} the little "XOXO" circle. My husband and I always say that or text it...it's sweet. So this will definitely be one of the cards that I give him...he'll love it! :D

So anyone out there been watching the Bachelor?!?!?! I have to say that I hadn't watched the show the past few seasons, but I am hooked this season!!! Next week's episode looks really good and I think Jason will end up with either Molly or Melissa. Topiarybella Valentine...

Hey there...Happy Monday to you all!!! :) Wow...my weekend was crazy and I am super sore from going to Boot Camp on Saturday. I don't think...well I know that I have never worked out that hard before. After the torture was all done, I came home, took a shower and was pretty useless after that...LOL!!! So I didn't get to work on any cards till yesterday and this was one of them. I just recently got my Bittersweet papers from Basic Grey and decided to pair it Topiarybella that I just ordered. This card took me way too long to complete. My sewing machine was giving me fits yesterday, but once I got it fixed I was able to stitch on my card and so love the outcome!

I stamped Topiarybella with Memento Tuxedo Black twice, once onto White Daisy CS and again onto my Bittersweet dp and then colored her with my CTMH markers and Copics. I also added some shimmer with my Clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen to her little heart bag, headband and the hearts on the tree...it looks so sparkly IRL. I cut her out using my Oval Nesties and pop-dotted her onto my card base. I then added a few Primas with buttons and called it done! :D I'm not sure what sentiment I will use for this card so I just decided to leave it off for now. Emporium Happy Birthday...

Woohoo...I'm so glad today is finally Friday!!! Tonight is my card class and the card I'm showing you today is one we will be doing. I really wanted to use my Emporium paper and make a guy birthday card. My brothers birthday is next month so this will be a good one to give him!

I am absolutely in love with this Emporium paper...it's got such great colors and patterns. It's a pretty simple card so I won't go into detail. Sorry this post is short and sweet today...I've got alot to do before tonight comes around. I just got my Basic Grey Bittersweet paper in the mail yesterday so I'm hoping I can work on some Valentine cards this weekend. Wish me luck this weekend...I'm going to join my brother and attend a Boot Camp exercise class on Saturday...YIKES! My brother does it twice a week and asked if I wanted to join him. Hi there! :D I can't believe it's Thursday already...where does the time go?!?! I've been trying to get over a cold for the past week and the last two nights I've been able to sleep through the night without coughing so I think the worst is over! I've been pretty productive at work this week and I'm starting to be able to see my desk again! Ever been that busy where you think there's no way you're gonna catch up?!?! Well I'm glad to say that I'm catching up and it feels super duper good! LOL!!! :D

Here's my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge. I am super proud as this is an all CTMH card....love it when I do that! :D When this Perfect Day paper came out I wasn't too sure about it...but it's really starting to grow on me...I love these colors together!!! And do you see the stitching?!?! Well I finally put my new Janome Sew Mini to work and I think I did an OK job. I was worried since this is the first time for me to sew ANYTHING, but I think it came out fine! :D Well that's it for me today. Bella Sketch Challenge #65

Hi there! Wow...it feels like forever since I have crafted and last night I decided to do something about it. I just received my Bella order and I've been dying to use the new stamps that I purchased. I love this little Lovey Huggabug stamp...so super adorable!!! And I wasn't sure what I was gonna make, but I did know I wanted to use my new dp...cute huh?!?!?! It's called Splendid by Michelle Coleman and I used Lovey Dovey, Queen of Hearts and Sophisticated from the line. I also needed a sketch to do so I decided on Bella sketch challenge #65.

I stamped this super cute Huggabug with Memento Tuxedo Black. Now this is the first time I have used this ink...I usually use Brilliance. But I really, really liked Memento and I think it's my new favorite! :D One thing I like about it is that it doesn't take forever to dry. Well sorry this post is short, but I've got to finish getting ready for work.

Hey there...hope everyone's Monday is going well. Unfortunately today is not a holiday for me so I'm stuck at work today. Work has been pretty stressful the last few weeks...I just hope it gets better soon!!! Well I still haven't had time to clean off my stamp table and work on anything yet...but I do hope to get something done while my husband is away this week. But I won't be able to post anything till Saturday since my husband took my camera with him. He left for Ireland on Saturday for work and I miss him already...can't wait to see him on Friday!!! :D

Well I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and I hope to get back to blogging and creating soon...I really miss it. I'll be cleaning house and getting things ready for some house guests on Friday but other than that I hope to enjoy the peace and quiet in my house till my hubby returns!!! LOL!!! :D

Hey there...Happy New Year! :D I hope each and every one of you had Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Ours was great and I was so not ready to come back to work when it was all done.

My husband and I were on vacation the week after Christmas and let me tell ya...we did absolutely nothing. I haven't even stamped one thing since my last post...isn't that crazy?!?! Well I've missed it terribly so I hope to get my table clean and organized this weekend so I can start creating!!! :D I got the "Janome Sew Mini" for Christmas and I can't wait to use it. I have no idea how to even work it...but I think I can figure it out, plus I plan to look at some of Jody Morrow's tutorials...Sew You Want To Sew?

Well if I haven't been stamping then what have I been doing?!?! Well I got the Twilight book as a stocking stuffer and I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I LOVED IT!!!! : D It was all I could do to finish reading so I could go watch the movie...and it surely didn't disappoint. I immediately went and got the second book "New Moon" and finished it within two days...and right now I'm on the third book "Eclipse". So this is where most of might time has been spent....crazy huh?!?! LOL!!! :D

We had a great time in San Antonio. It's always so nice to get away for a few days...much needed! :D It's been a busy week though, trying to get everything ready for Christmas and I still have so much I want to do. I still have NOT finished all my shopping and I really want to get in the kitchen and bake some goodies!!! :D Plus work has been really busy...I'm taking my vacation the week after Christmas so I've been super busy trying to get everything done before I leave...it's crazy!!! This was a fantastic sketch and once I figured out what Bella to use it was easy as pie! :D I love Cupcakeabella...she runs a close second next to Lattebella. I decided to use for the first time some Perfect Day dp from CTMH. I don't have the full paper pack, so I just used the little 6x6 sample sheets that I had. At first I was unsure if I even liked the paper, but after using it I think I might just get some!!! LOL!!! :D

Happy Friday everyone! :D I'm so glad the weekend is here, it's gonna be a busy one! I'm almost done with ALL my Christmas shopping so I hope to get some more done this weekend, and then we are going to a Christmas party on Saturday. I know it's kinda early for parties right now, but it' was the only weekend that everyone was able to attend...it shall be FUN!!!! :D

For my card today, I knew I wanted to use Jen's SFYTT. She has a circle where I put my square image, but I'm thinking this will still work. I had colored Cooper a few nights ago and knew that I wanted to use my Star Struck paper with him. Isn't he adorable?!?!?! And as I sat in bed last night watching TV I decided to get up and finish this card!!! It came together pretty quickly since I was already using Jen's great sketch! :D

Wow, it's almost been a week since my last post...Yikes! :D Sorry everyone for the lack of posting, just trying to get things situated on the home front. I had a very relaxing Thanksgiving and I was able to get my Christmas tree up and all my decorations as well...so relieved!!! We did do some shopping on Black Friday and Saturday. We didn't get up early and we still were able to get everything we wanted...how cool is that! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #38

Happy Tuesday! :D It's back to work for me today! I was able to stamp a bit yesterday while I was home and worked on a few of Marjorie's Color Challenges that I had missed. For color challenge #38, Marjorie chose the colors Bamboo, Desert Sand, Ponderosa Pine and Juniper. Now Marjorie made a winter card with this color challenge and it was sooo cute! So I decided to get out my All Decked Out stamp set from CTMH and go to work. I do have to admit that when I was putting this card together I wasn't sure I was gonna like it. But now that it's done I have fallen in love with it...these colors came together fabulously!!! :D I have been using alot of snowman stamps lately so I hope you're not tired of them yet! :D

Stamps: All Decked Out, Spot on Backgrounds & Annotations (CTMH) Paper: Bamboo, Desert Sand, Juniper & New England Ivy CS (CTMH) Ink: Juniper, Ponderosa Pine, Desert Sand & Black (CTMH) Accents: Sparkles, Twill Ribbon & Juniper Brads (CTMH), Corner Rounder, Piercer, CB Swiss Dots, Circle Punches & Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart)

My card base is a 5" x 10" piece of Bamboo CS folded in half. I then cut a 4" piece of Desert Sand CS and used my corner round to make some scallops! I scissor & inked distressed the CS with Desert Sand ink and pierced holes in the scallops. Next I layered a piece of Ponderosa Pine and Juniper CS on top of my Desert Sand CS. I pierced a line on the top and bottom piece of the Ponderosa Pine CS and ran the Juniper CS through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I also inked and scissor distressed both of these pieces. Next I went to work on my snowman! I stamped him in Black ink onto White Daisy CS. I then paper pieced his hat and scarf with some Juniper CS. I added some sparkles to the snowflakes and layered him onto some Ponderosa Pine & Bamboo CS. Before I pop dotted my image to my base I tied a bow of twill ribbon around the card. My image covers up most of the scallops and I was pretty bummed about that, but what are ya' gonna do! :D I added the sentiment "Happy Holidays" and a snowflake and called it done! :D Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is fabulous!!! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #39

Hey there! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm home today still recovering from an icky cold, but I am feelin' much better!!! Since I'm home I decided to do Marjorie's Color Challenge, it's been way too long since I have done one. For this challenge Marjorie chose the colors Outdoor Denim, Tulip, Ocean & Heavenly Blue. These colors are fabulous together and I couldn't wait to get started!!! :D

Stamps: Penny Black Snowman & Say It in Style (CTMH) Paper: Just Chillin dp & CTMH CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Copic Markers Accents: Prisma Glitter & Silver Brads (CTMH), Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart) & Pop Dots

I didn't realize till after my card was made that it looks alot like Bella Sketch Challenge #55. I'll be sure to complete that one once I'm done here. Anywho, so I started with a base of Outdoor Denim CS. I then cut a piece of Just Chillin dp and layered it onto a piece of Tulip CS and taped it to my base. I then stamped my image in Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto White Daisy CS. I colored this super cute snowman with my copics and added some glitter to his scarf. (I'm not too happy with how the glitter came out, but I wasn't about to start all over!) I then layered my snowman onto some Heavenly Blue CS and then again on Tulip CS. I lightly distressed each piece with my scissors. Next I added some silver brads to my image and then punch a snowflake out of Outdoor Denim CS and added it to the top left hand corner of my image...super cute! :D Next I stamped the sentiment and called it done! Happy, Happy Thursday everyone!!! :D I feel like a new woman today having got my hair cut and colored yesterday...feels so good! :D I have a super quick card I made for you today on this Prettie Thursday! :D I was so excited to do this card because I have been itching to use this Simply Special stamp from Paper Pretties...isn't it just darling?!?! And I have been dying to use my new Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey...I absolutely love it!!!! :D

Stamps: Simply Special (Paper Pretties) & Say It in Style (CTMH) Paper: Urban Prairie (Basic Grey) & CTMH White Daisy, Sunflower, Hollyhock & Breeze CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & CTMH & Copic Markers Accents: White Daisy Bigger Brads (CTMH), Paper Piercer, Black Button (Creative Cafe), Ghost Flowers (Heidi Swapp) & Pop Dots

This card is a standard A2 size card and I used Breeze CS as my base. I cut a 1/4" shorter piece of Hollyhock CS and then layered my Urban Prairie dp onto that. I then added four White Daisy Bigger Brads in each corner and taped it to my base. Next I stamped my image on White Daisy CS and colored it with my Copics & CTMH Markers. The water can looks more red here than pink but it's a really pretty pink IRL. I hate that I don't get good lighting...moving on! I then layered it onto a piece of Sunflower CS and pierced around the image. Next step i just added a ghost flower and black button to the top left corner of my image and pop dotted it onto my base...easy peasy! :D

All Decked Out!!!

Happy Wednesday! This week is flying by and I'm soooo glad! I was able to sit down last night and stamp two cards, but I've got one for you today and I'll show you the other on Friday, k?!?! I just knew I wanted to use Taylor's Cupcake Challenge for this one and I'm so glad I did because it was a great sketch! :D This little snowman is from CTMH's November SOTM called All Decked Out! There are so many pieces to this snowman it's crazy!!! The one thing I love most about it is all the paper piecing you can do! :D I've seen this snowman stamped liked this all over the CTMH boards so I thought I would give it a try, and since I had my Aspen paper sitting out I went ahead and used it for this card too. I paper pieced the snowman's hat and scarf with the same paper as well. And you can't tell in the pic, but there are little snowflakes on his scarf and I highlighted them with my white gel pen....looks super cute IRL. For the "J" I added a button and then I added four white daisy brads to the main panel on my card. If you can't tell already, I am just super happy with how this card turned out...don't you love it when that happens?!?! Well I better finish getting ready for work. I'm not even there yet, but I'm already looking forward to getting off!!! Hey there, Happy Tuesday! :D Wow, it felt so good to stamp last night! The weather here has been wet and rainy so it was the perfect time to settle in at my craft table and work on a card! :D

I was inspired by Sparkle to try this sketch, her card came out so pretty! :D I've been wanting to make a card using my new Aspen papers from CTMH and my Snow Friends stamp set. I think this little snowman is the cutest thing and I love the little heart hanging from his branch! :D I tried to follow the sketch as close as possible. The ribbon should have been placed lower, but I liked it much better this way! :D I'm gonna go back with my copic marker later and highlight the falling snow and the snow on the ground, I didn't think about that till just now while I was typing this up! :D

Something Sweet on Prettie Thursday!!!

Wow, it feels like forever since I have stamped anything!!! Thanks to all of you who have wished me well. I am feeling a little better, but hope to feel better much soon because I really have alot of stamping to catch up on. I"m so sorry I haven't been to many of your blogs lately to comment, but I will get there...I PROMISE!!! :D Well it's that time of the week again...it's Prettie Thursday and I have something sweet for ya'! :D I whipped up this cute little card in no time yesterday using my Sweets for the Sweet stamps from Paper Pretties...I {heart} this stamp set! :D I hadn't used my Boom-Di-Ada paper in a while so I grabbed it and go to work. My card is a 4.5" x 9" square card folded in half, so cute and small enough to send with a batch of yummy goodies! :D Well that's it for me today... I hope to get some stamping time in tonight and on Friday!!! For the past two Saturdays we have been watching my nephew play soccer and the games are soooo much fun!!! We have another one this Saturday so GO DYNOMITES!!! :D At his age, they really don't keep score, but my nephew always knows what the score is...LOL!!! :D

Not Feeling Well...

Hey there everyone! Long time no post, eh?!?! Sorry for not posting, I've just been feeling pretty sick lately. The doctor has given me some new medication to take and it just makes me feel nauseous all the time. It pretty much comes in waves and can last all day long. So that's what I've been up too. Bet you thought I forgot about Prettie Thursday, huh?!?!? Nope, just been super busy and haven't had much time to blog or create. Now let's get on to the card, shall we?!?! This is a pretty bad picture, but hopefully I can get a better one tomorrow. I know these papers look familiar...I used them on my last card. They were still sitting on my craft table so I grabbed them and got to work.

This card is pretty simple. I really think these mittens are super cute from the Snowflake Kisses stamp set. I added liquid applique to the top part of the mittens...looks really cute IRL. Of all my Bella cards?!?! Well I have a couple more to show you tonight and I hope to finish the rest before Sparkle decides to draw a name...YIKES!!! :D This card is for Bella & Sketch Challenge #44. Sparkle chose the colors Clover Meadow, Star Spangled Blue, Sunflower & Holiday Red. Before I even looked at the sketch, I had colored all of Superbella and was so crushed that I had to punch her out! Oh well, next time I'll just have to pay more attention.

I colored Superbella with my copics and punched her out using my nesties. I also punched out two more circles in Sunflower CS and embossed them. I added some ghost stars to my Sunflower circles attaching them with White Daisy Bigger Brads. On the Star Spangled Blue CS I embossed it with the Houndstooth CB folder...I really love this folder! :D I then attached the blue panels with White Daisy Bigger Brads and pop dotted my circles on top....easy peasy! :D

My next card is for Bella Color & Sketch Challenge #45. Sparkle choses the colors Twilight, Cranberry, Crystal Blue & Grey Wool. I really, really loved these colors!!! :D I decided to use Lattebella for this one. These colors seemed so perfect for the Holiday season, they just make me want to snuggle up with some hot chocolate! :D It's a pretty basic sketch, I did a little embossing using the Textile Texture CB folder and layering a piece of polka dot dp on it. Did some piercing and added some silver brads. I colored bella with my copics and used my rectangle nesties for the Silver Shimmery paper, and then tied some white twill around it and I was done! :D I didn't know what sentiment to use so I left it off, I'm sure I will find something perfect for it later! :D

Bella Color & Sketch Challenge #43

Hey there! I have another Bella challenge to show you tonight! For this color challenge Sparkle chose the colors Desert Sand, Black, Petal & Smokey Plum. I really wasn't sure what to do with these colors, but I figured it out and I really like the results.

Stamps: Daisybella (Stamping Bella) & Say It in Style (CTMH) Paper: Enchanted Dp (CTMH) & Desert Sand, Black, Petal & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Copics Accents: Mat Pack & Piercer, Black Pearls (Kaiser), Corner Rounder, Black Gingham Ribbon (Ribbon FX) & Pop Dots

I inked up Daisybella for this challenge with Brilliance Graphite Black stamped her onto White Daisy CS. I colored her with my copics and layered her on a piece of Petal CS. I then paper pieced around my image and added black pearls to each corner and center of the flower. Next I worked on my base which is a standard piece of Desert Sand CS. I then cut out a piece of Black CS and used my corner rounder to make scallops and used my piercer to make holes in the scallops. Next I layered a piece of Enchanted dp onto my Black CS and I also tied some Black Gingham ribbon around it before I taped it to my base. The final touch was to pop dot my image to my base and then I added a 1/2" circle underneath the top left hand corner of my image. I pierced around my cirlce, but you just can't see it in the pic.

Hey there, hope all is well with everyone! :D I had time to work on another Bella Color Challenge #42 and decided to match it with the sketch challenge as well. For this challenge Sparkle chose the colors Cocoa, Star Spangled Blue, Topiary and Sweet Leaf.

I decided I would use Chefabella for this challenge. I've had her for a while, but this is the first time she's been inked (gasp!) LOL!!! :D I am really pleased with how this card turned out! I had my doubts at first, because I wasn't too sure about the colors, but I just rolled with it and think she came out great!!!:D Well I'm not gonna go too into detail with this one as I'm still trying to catch up on the challenges!!! I colored her with copics and I used two CB folders for this one, Swiss Dots & Floral Fantasy. I also added one of my favorite embellies at the moment, a ghost flower from Heidi Swapp and some ribbon from American Crafts...yummy! :D

Hey there, Happy Saturday Morning! Our morning has been super busy!!! We woke up at 5am and hit the ground running!!! We went to eat breakfast, took my car for an oil change, took clothes to the cleaners, put a load of clothes to wash and cleaned house...WHEW!!!

I'm sorry I don't have anything new to show you right now, I haven't been feeling the best lately so no stamping time for me. Hopefully today I can get some Bella Challenges done & posted, we'll see!!! :D But I do have the winner of the Blog Candy, and the winner is Vicki!!!

Hey there, it's another Prettie Thursday!!! :D I have a great card to show you today using a sketch challenge Created by Courtney. This is my first time ever doing one of her challenges. I really liked the sketch so I thought I would give it a try!!! :D

Stamps: Flutter By (Paper Pretties) Paper: October Afternoon Dp & CTMH CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Copics Accents: CB Swiss Dots, Paper Piercer, Olive Brads, Heidi Swapp Ghost Flower, Black Sugar Coated Brad (Doodlebug) & Black Gingham Ribbon (Ribbon FX)

I wasn't sure what I was gonna do first, but I did know I wanted to use this FABulous October Afternoon dp I found at my LSS. So I pulled my colors from there and got to work!!! :D I started with my base first which is a piece of Black TCS. I then layered a piece of Sunflower TCS and then a piece of Breeze CS that I ran through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder. I'm so glad I still have some of that Breeze CS left as it is being retired! (sigh!) Next I tied some black gingham ribbon to the bottom of my card and went ahead and used my corner rounder to make the scallops on my delish dp! :D Next I got to work on my image. I just love Sophia and this stamp was the first Prettie stamp I owned so I tend so show her alot of love!!! :D I stamped Sophia with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I colored her in with my Copics, but to tell you the truth I had the hardest time coloring her. I wasn't sure what color her dress should be, what color the butterfly should be...yada, yada, yada! LOL!!! :D But I figured it out and I think she came out great! :D For a little sparkle, I used my Copic Spica Glitter pen on the butterfly, the flower and her jewerly. I then layered her on a piece of Black TCS and stamped Happy Birthday in the bottom left hand corner. Next I went to piercing and added two small olive brads to the top of my mage. I am so "in love" right now with these Heidi Swapp Ghost images that I had to add one to this card too! I added a daisy and used a suger coated black brad from Dooglebug to add it to my image...cute, huh?!?! :D

Mojo Monday Sketch #56 A Day Late...

Well this is my first time attempting to do one of Julee's Mojo Monday sketches. I've always seen them, but just never made time. I had some time today because I left work early to go to the dentist. That was no fun, the dentist had to numb me three times to do a filling...NOT FUN!!! :( Anyway I came home and got right to work on this great sketch! :D

Stamps: Penny Black Snowman Paper: Be Merry (My Mind's Eye) & CTMH Crystal Blue, Tulip, White Daisy & Baby Pink CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Copics Accents: Silver Brads (Paper Studio), Pink Ribbon (May Arts), Paper Piercer, Cirlce Nesties, Pop Dots, & CB Swiss Dots

I have a few new things I was working with today!!! I got this new cute Penny Black Snowman stamp at HL. I'd been eyeing it for a while now and when this weeks coupon was 40% off, I just had to get it!!! I am also using my new My Mind's Eye paper called Be Merry!!! This paper is so much fun I can't wait to make more cards with it!!! :D Well let's get to the deets of the card, shall we?!?! I started by inking my snowman in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and stamped it on White Daisy CS. I then used my copics to color him in. Next I worked on my standard base using Tulip CS. I then layered it with a piece of Baby Pink and Crystal Blue CS and my Be Merry Dp! I pierced around the edge of the Crystal Blue CS and the dp and added some big Silver Brads to the corners. Next I took my image and layered it with the same colors as my base and pierced, added smaller brads to the corners of my image and added a small Heidi Swapp Ghost Star to the top left corner of my image. Next I cut a circle out of Sweet Leaf CS using my Nesties and then ran the cirlce through my CB using the Swiss Dots Folder and taped it to my base. In the blog candy I am giving away this lovely pink lace ribbon. I also bought some for myself and thought it would perfect with this card. So I stapled it onto my base and pop dotted my image on top! This card took me a while to make (I'm ashamed to admit it), but it did. The sketch was easy, it was just getting all the details right!!! :D Anywho, I love it and I hope you do too! :D

Good evening!!! If you were off for Columbus Day I hope you enjoyed your time off!!! I on the other hand had to work today but got off an hour early so it wasn't too bad!!! LOL!!! :D I got home and my hubby said he would cook dinner so that gave me some time to work on some cards!!! I am still stuck on making Halloween cards so here is another with the stamps my SIL bought for me! :D

For this card I decided to give Beate's Weekend Sketch a try and I'm so glad I did!!! :D I started by stamping my image in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I colored this super cute ghost with my copics and cut him out and put him to the side to work on my base. My base is a 5" x 10" piece of Black TCS folded in half. I then used my Coluzzle to make the big orange circle from some My Mind's Eye dp that I got from my LSS. I then used my Coluzzle again to cut out a piece of Hydrangea CS. I ran it through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder and distressed the circle a little with my scissors and taped them both to my base. Next I paper pieced around my circles and added a Heidi Swapp Ghost Star with an Orange Bigger Brad in the middle. I then pop dotted my image on top of the Hydrangea circle and added some black gingham ribbon. I wasn't going to add a sentiment, but I decided to add BOO! in White Daisy Ink and I think it came out cute!!! :D

Trick or Treat!!!

Hey there, hope you're enjoying your Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow is Columbus Day and I wish I was off from work! (OK, I'll stop whining now!) Well yesterday my niece whose five came to visit for a while and the first thing she asked me was "Auntie can we make a card?" She really knows how to pull my heart strings!!! :D My SIL had gotten me these Halloween stamps by Paper Studio a couple of weeks ago, so I pulled them out and we got to work.

Stamps: Paper Studio Paper: My Minds Eye & CTMH CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink & Copics Accents: Orange Bigger Brad & Liquid Glass (CTMH), Paper Piercer, Green Polka Dot Ribbon, Circle & Scalloped Circle Punch (Paper Studio), Pop Dots

I thought this spider was the cutest thing so I quickly got to work with him. I stamped my spider with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and stamped him onto White Daisy CS. I then colored him with my copics. I know spiders aren't purple, but I couldn't resist. Plus when I colored him black you couldn't see his nose and that cute little smile, so purple it was!!! :D I then layered him onto a piece of Orange CS that I stamped out of my scalloped circle punch and added some liquid glass to make his hat shiny and put him aside to dry. Next I worked on my base. It's a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I then layered a piece of Hydrangea CS and then a piece of Mind Minds Eye Dp to the top part of my card that I got from my LSS. It's super glittery and looks way cuter IRL. To the bottom part of my card I added a piece of super glittery black polka dot dp that I absolutely had to have when I saw it and added a piece of green polka dot ribbon to pull the two together! :D Once my image was dry I pop dotted it onto my base and worked on the sentiment. This sentiment comes from the stamps my SIL got me and I thought it went perfect! I stamped Trick or Treat with Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto White Daisy CS. I then layered it onto a piece of Hydrangea CS and added an Orange Bigger Brad and I was done! :D

Hey there, hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend so far!!! :D I haven't done too much today, just been lounging around and searching through iTunes for some music!!! :D I did get a chance to go to one of my favorite scrapbooking stores this morning and I picked up some great things!!! :D I would have liked to put everything in the store in my basket, but I don't think that would have gone over well with my hubby!!! Prettie Thursday!!!

Happy Thursday!!! :D We are having the most fabulous weather here in Houston. I just {heart} cool, crisp mornings! :D Mornings I can straighten my hair and it won't frizz up!!! LOL!!! :D Well yesterday was a pretty sad day for me. Since Hurricane Ike I haven't been back to work in Galveston, but yesterday I got to go back and work there for the day and I just couldn't believe the destruction as I drove in. I mean you see things on TV, but it just doesn't prepare you for the real thing. My heart was saddened and I hope they can get things back to normal soon!!!

Well let's get on with my card, shall we?!?! I had my Evensong paper still sitting on my table and thought it would be cute paired with Sweets for the Sweet! :D I used a sketch that Danielle challenged us to use about two weeks ago...I guess better late than never, right?!?! I loved this sketch so I just had to do it and I thought it would be a great card to send with some Christmas goodies!!! It's a square card, go figure and I used Cranberry CS as my base. I then added a 1/4" smaller piece of Sorbet CS that I ran through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder, and used the reverse side and adhered it to my base. Next I placed two different squares of dp down and started working on my image. I just love this super cute image!!! I colored it with my copics pulling the colors from my paper. Next I layered my image onto a piece of Olive CS and stamped the sentiment in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink under my image. I then paper pieced around the image and added a pretty red felt flower. Once my image was pop dotted onto my base I added two White Daisy brads and called it done! :D It's pretty simple but I think it's missing something, maybe I should add some ribbon?!?! Happy Fall...

Happy Wednesday!!! :D So glad the weekend is almost here. I know I say that all the time but I really look forward to the weekends!!! :D Well last night I was able to get a few things done stamping wise! I made two cards, but I will show you the other tomorrow! :D I really, really like how this card came out. I'm really not into fall colors but I really like these colors together!!! :D I used a stamp set that I've had for a months and it hadn't seen ink yet. I used the Growing in Unity set from Unity Stamps. I love this tree and it's the main reason why I bought this set, so I was super glad I got to ink it up!

Stamps: Growing in Unity (Unity Stamps), Say It In Style & Sans Alpha (CTMH) Paper: Enchanted DP & Barn Red TCS, Pansy Purple TCS & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Autumn Terracotta & Olive (CTMH) Accents: Pewter Spiral Clip, Pewter Brads & Olive Grosgrain Ribbon (CTMH), Kaiser Pearls & Pop Dots

My base is a 5" x 10 1/2" piece of Barn Red TCS. I know, weird card size, but when I was cutting my dp I forgot to move the base and I cut into it, so I had to trim it. Anywho, I used a piece of Enchanted dp that I've had for over a year and this is the first time I've used it...I know shame, shame, shame! LOL!!! :D Next I worked on my image. I love the tree in this set, it looks so whimsical to me!!! So I inked it up with Autumn Terracotta Ink and stamped it onto a piece of White Daisy CS. I then layered my tree onto a piece of Pansy Purple TCS and lightly distressed the edges with my scissors. Next I found these Kaiser pearls that I've been hoarding and thought they would look perfect on the tree and IMHO I think they do! :D Next I added a pewter spiral clip to the top left corner with some Olive Grosgrain Ribbon attached to it. For my sentiment I used a couple of stamp sets to make it work. I stamped Happy Fall in Olive ink and added some pewter brads to each end. I then pop dotted the image to my base and called it done!!! :D

Evensong Gift Card...

Happy Monday Everyone!!! I hope you all had a great weekend and got to make some great cards on WCMD!!! :D I on the other hand didn't have any time to stamp this weekend. My SIL came and stayed the day with me on Saturday and we watched movie, after movie, after movie. Then we got together with some family and friends and took my husband out to dinner for his b-day. Then on Sunday we had lunch with my MIL, went to the movies, and did a little grocery shopping. So since I didn't get to make anything new I am gonna show you the gift card holder we made at my card class on Friday night.

Stamps: Merry Melodies (CTMH) Paper: Evensong dp, Cranberry CS, Colonial White CS and Olive CS (CTMH) Ink: Olive (CTMH) Accents: Cranberry Grosgrain & Sparkles (CTMH), Cirlce Nesties, Circle Scallop Punch (Paper Studio) & Velcro

I used the Evensong dp from CTMH to make this cute little gift card holder that I learned how to make at a unit meeting. It's the perfect thing for any kind of occasion (birthday, Christmas, etc...)!!! And how adorable would this look on your tree?!?! I cut a 4" x 8" piece of Olive CS and scored one end at 1 1/4" and the other end at 3 1/4". I then covered my piece of CS with Evensong dp and folded at the scores. I used my corner rounder for the top flap and rectangle punch at the top of the flap to add some ribbon. Next I worked on my image. I cut a circle of Colonial White CS using my nesties and stamped my Christmas tree in Olive ink onto the circle. I then used my scallop circle punch and punched a piece of Cranberry CS and attached my circle on top of it. To open and close the gift card holder I used velcro and attached it to my cirlce. On the inside I just added a piece of dp to place the gift card holder on and you can use removable dots to attach the gift card...easy peasy! :D I have a feeling I might be making these alot this year...LOL!!! :D I always find it so hard to shop for adults sometimes, so these will come in handy!!! :D Well I hope everyone enjoys their evening. I'm off to finish dinner and watch Dancing with the Stars!!! :D

Happy Happy Friday!!! So glad the weekend is here and I can kick back and relax!!! I have a card class tonight and I am so looking forward to it!!! I had originally scheduled this class the weekend Hurricane Ike hit and we all know how that turned out. So I re-scheduled it for this weekend and I can't wait!!! I always have so much fun at these kinds of events...just lots of girl time, snacks, and chit chatter...just plain ol' FUN!!! :D Well I didn't get a chance to make a card last night since I was busy getting ready, cutting paper and cleaning house. But I do have a few RAK's to show you that that I got this week from a couple of sweet girls!!! :D

First off is the sweet card I received from Marjorie! :D It's so pretty and I just love this Hanna stamp and the colors are just perfect! I also love how Marjorie outlines in a white pen...so perfect! I've tried it and it nevers comes out half as good as hers! :D Thanks so much Marjorie for thinking of me and I'm so glad you are back to blogging again...I have missed all your color challenges and your wonderful creations! :D

An last but certainly not least I received a post card from Sparkle while she visited Salzburg, Austria!!! How cool is that?!?! She had a spa day while she was there and it sounded amazing! I so need a spa day...LOL!!! :D Lovin' all your creations while your away Sparkle, but Ican't wait till your back with us and with your stamps! LOL!!! :D

Some Prettie Exciting News!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!!! :D So today is the day, the day I can spill the beans on some prettie exciting news I received a few weeks ago. I am so proud to announce that I will be one of the Paper Pretties Guest Designers for the next three months (Oct. - Dec.). :D I am so grateful for the opportunity that Jessie and Christie, the owner of Paper Pretties have given me. I can't wait to create more with these amazing line of stamps, I just love my pretties!!! :D You should also check out the other guest designers that I will be joining, they are Stephanie Hargis, Frances Byrne and Christi Thorsen...and they are absolutely amazing!!! :D

Well let's get to it, here is my first card as a prettie guest designer. I used Howdy Girlfriend and isn't she just adorable! :D I thought Sophia would look great paired with my Sarsaparilla dp from CTMH. My base is a 4.5" x 4.5" piece of Desert Sand CS. I added a 3" piece of dp to one side and a 1.5" piece of Black CS that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder to the other. I then added a 1" piece of Crystal Blue CS to cover the seam between the two and scissor distressed the edges of the CS and dp to give it that rustic cowgirl look! :D

I then inked the edges with Desert Sand ink and layered it onto a piece of Barn Red CS and scissor distressed the edges. Wow...it seems like forever since I have stamped or made anything in a few weeks!! It felt so good to sit down at my scrap table today and work on something...even if it was for an upcoming class I have on Friday. I was still lacking one card and didn't like anything I tried in the past so I made it my mission today to get something done!!! :D My class on Friday is a Christmas card class and here is one of the cards we will be creating! I used new papers from CTMH called Evensong. I wasn't too sure about the paper before I got it but I really do like it now! :D This card is very basic and easy to mass produce when making Christmas cards...I hope my girls like it! :D Well I hate to be short, but I have alot I need to catch up on and few cards I need to get done. What's Been Going On?!?!

Well, first off I want to apologize to my readers for not posting in such a long time. Everything is slowly getting back to normal and I am so glad for that. To tell you the truth, I haven't felt like creating lately...it's the strangest thing. My husband even said something about me not making anything. I'm not sure why and I can't explain it. Maybe I just needed a break and with everything going on, it just felt right.

Work is going well. We still don't have power back in Galveston, so for right now I working at a satellite office in Houston. It's about the same distance, maybe a little shorter than Galveston so the drive isn't bad at all. It's been pretty busy and I think we will be there for a while till we can get electricity and have someone come out and inspect our office. Till then I'll be working in Houston.

I got some really good news from the doctor this week. Since my last procedure everything came back clear, the medicine worked and now we can start making babies...LOL!!! :D That was the best news ever and we are so excited that we can now start working on having a family, I feel so truly blessed.

Well I wanted to post this before we left out of town for the weekend. My husband's birthday is Tuesday and his family lives out of town so we are going there to visit them and celebrate his birthday with them. I hope to be back early enough Sunday to start working on some creative things. I've really missed it and can't wait to get my fingers inky again!!! :D Thanks so much for all the support and kind words...it really means alot to me. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!! :D

I'm doing well...

Hey there everyone! I miss all you guys soooo much and have missed seeing all of your creations...I have so much to catch up on!!! My family and I are safe and sound! We arrived back from Austin on Sunday @ noon. My brother and sister did not have power so we were all counting on my place to have power and WE DID!!! I was so happy I just wanted to cry!!! LOL!!! :D So everyone has been shacking up at my house till they receive power. My brother finally received power on Monday and my sister has yet to receive power. We are just hoping and praying that their power will be fully restored soon, I know it's hard for them.

After two days of no work I was finally able to come to work today...I was about to go stir crazy at home. And you probably think I got some major stamp time in but I just didn't feel like stamping...this storm just physically and mentally drained me...KWIM?!?! I work in Galveston and they aren't letting anyone onto the island, so I am at our Satellite office in Houston. Our Galveston office got about 2ft. of water in it and a group of workers have been trying to get it all cleaned up. The island still doesn't have electricity or running water so I will be working at our Satellite office for about a couple of weeks till the city gets back up and running...it may be even longer. I don't have internet access available at home yet, so I am typing this on my lunch break. I don't know when I will be able to post again, but I hope it's real soon!!! ETA: Hey there everyone! I am logging in from my laptop from Austin, TX. There was a mandatory evacuation where I live (Webster TX about 30 miles West of Galveston) so we came to Austin. My husband and I left with my brother and nephew pretty early from Houston and pretty much beat all the traffic that was heading out of town. We ran into some traffic, but it wasn't all that bad...not like last time. I hated to leave my home, but I am so glad that we are safe and away from any potential harm. Well that's it for now...I hope to be checking in every now and then till I arrive back home, which I hope will be Sunday. So take care everyone and thanks for all the well wishes!!! :D

Good Morning Everyone! :D It's bright and early here and we have lots & lots of stuff going on, so this post will be short and sweet! We are in the path of Hurricane Ike...yowzers!!! I am not going into work today as I brought home my computer from work last night. I work in Galveston and they are evacuating people out today so good thing I decided not to go in...I would have been stuck in all that traffic. I'm not fond of hurricanes...I don't know anyone that is. I just dislike the whole evacuation process and the last time we evacuated for a storm it took us hours upon hours to get where we were going. I think we are gonna try and ride this one out and just hope for the best. We are pretty prepared with plenty of water and food, but will be going to Sam's this morning for a few more things that we may need...you can never be too prepared, right?!?! So here it is peeps...Wednesday! We've made it halfway through the week and only two more days to go!!! LOL!!! :D It's been pretty busy at work, but sometimes I think that's good because it makes the time fly by! :D

Well I didn't get much stamping done last night as I haven't been feeling well. But here is a card I haven't shown you. I made this card for one of the Paper Pretties Stampin' in your Jammies challenges. The challenge was to make a square card, and we all know how much I LOVE square cards! :D Pretty simple and probably the fastest card I have ever made. I used my new paper from Cosmo Cricket called Honey Pie for this sweet little Sophia holding her teddy! :D Added some buttons and whola, you have a cutesy square card! :D

That Christmas is only a few months away!!! Can anyone tell me where the year has gone?!?! Good Tuesday Morning everyone! I hope everyone had a great Monday, as great as Monday's can be! Sorry it's been a while since I posted, I was just taking it easy over the weekend and just relaxed and caught up on all my tv shows! :D

I never got to make any cards over the weekend either, but I did get to make one last night. And by the way...sorry for the horrible, horrible picture! I hope I can take a better one when I get home this afternoon. Now while I like the cards sketch, embellishments and image, I don't like the stickles I used on the tree and it didn't come out the way I intended it to. Anywho...enough whining from me, I will fix it later! I borrowed the new CTMH Originals card book from my upline (that book is now on my list of things to get) and used a sketch from the book for my card. I used the Evensong Creative Basics dp and the Holiday Ribbon & buttons for embellishments. Well that's it for me today! I hope to get a few things done tonight but I don't know how much?!?! I still need to clean my house for my card class this Friday...I wish I had a maid! LOL!!! :D Anywho, thanks for stopping by today and hope everyone has a great day! Feeling Much Better...

Hey there everyone!!! Thanks to all who wished me well, I am feeling much better today!!! :D I stayed home from work today and got lots of rest and slept off and on throughout the day....it was great!!! :D Everything turned out fine with my procedure. I'm really not sure why I like to worry myself to death with things...but I do!!! When I woke up after my procedure I was just talking away...blah, blah, blah!!! LOL!!! The nurse quickly gave me some Demerol for the pain and it kinda shut me up, it was kinda funny. She came back to check on me and said "You're pretty quiet now!" LOL!!! :D My hubby brought me home and took the best care of me, he is such a sweetie!!! :D

The man in brown stopped by today with my CTMH order. I was really excited to get this order. I got some of the new papers and embellishments and I can't wait to use them. I'm hoping tomorrow I can work on some cards for my open house next Saturday. Nothing like waiting till the last minute...I guess I love working under pressure! Good Morning!!! :D I hope everyone had a fantastic evening last night. My hubby and I went to the Star Cinema Grill and watched Tropic Thunder. The food was good and the movie was good, but I guess I didn't think the movie was as hilarious as my husband thought...LOL!!! :D I'm not saying it was bad because there were definitely some funny parts, I just didn't think it was all that funny! :D

Anywho, today I'm gonna show you a card I made over the weekend using another one of my newest Bellas. She's called I-can't-see-a-thing-abella and I just think she's so fun!!! :D I hadn't used my Whoops-A-Daisy paper in awhile so I paired her with that. I just really love these colors together!!! :D I stamped Bella with Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto White Daisy CS and colored her with my copics. I then layered her onto a piece of Hydrangea & Ocean CS. I then added some silver brads to each corner and a piece of twill ribbon to the side and worked on my base. My base is a 5" x 10" piece of Watermelon CS folded in half. I then layered that with a smaller piece of Hydrangea CS and then a smaller piece of Buttercup CS that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots Folder. I then added a piece of Whoops-A-Daisy dp to one side of the Buttercup CS. I added silver brads to each corner again and pop dotted my image onto my base. The sentiment was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black onto White Daisy CS and layered with a piece of Watermelon CS. I then added again two more silver brads and called it done!!! :D

Well I guess now onto why I am soooo nervous today! Today I am scheduled to have a D&C done and they have to put me to sleep! :( About five months ago I had a similar procedure done and they put me to sleep and I was fine, but I just hate the fact of having to be put to sleep. I also hate waking up and not knowing what the heck has gone on while you were past out, KWIM?!?! Well that's why I'm so nervous today, but the procedure should only take about 30mins. so I should be home by 12:30 to have the rest of the weekend to rest!!! :D Well hope everyone has a sunshiney day and thanks for stopping by!!! :D

Happy Hump Day everyone!!! :D The week is almost over...LOL!!! :D Am I crazy for saying that when we only have to work four days this week?!??! LOL!!! :D I have some super exciting news!!! On Monday Paper Pretties had a Stamping in your Jammies Party and I was chosen as the Cutie Pie for the month of September!!! :D I was so excited...I couldn't believe it! :D This card was my winning card! :D Thanks a bunch Christie!!! Well since we are talking Paper Pretties, here is a card I created last night using this sweet little Sophia image. On a previous card I used Blush CS with the Silhouette dp and I thought I would see what Breeze would like and I'm so glad I tried it...I loved it!!! :D The card came together pretty fast once I knew what dp I would use. I just love the polka dots in the Silhouette pp...I couldn't help but use it!!! :D My other favorite is the Prima and polka dot brad...love it too!!! :D

Have to go back to work today!!! :( I so enjoyed having the extra day off, it gave me a chance to catch up on some stamping!!! I'm sure my poor stamps have been feeling pretty neglected lately. It seems like forever since I had stamped and especially with a Bella!!! LOL!!! :D

Well I know you came here to see something I created, not to hear me whine about having to go back to work! :D For this cutesy card I used my new stamp Daisybella. I had gotten her for my birthday about a month ago and this is the first time she's been inked! I love these colors with her. I stamped her in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink and colored her with my copics and layered her on a piece of Hydrangea CS. I then worked on my base, making it a standard card size using Hydrangea CS as my base. I actually picked the dp before I colored my bella and drew my colors from it. The dp is by Glitz and I just love it, it's so funky and fun! :D

Hey there! Hope everyone is enjoying their long holiday weekend?!?! I have been so busy that this is the first day that I've done any stamping! I had game night on Friday at a friends house and yesterday we went to an outlet mall here in Houston. So it's been busy, busy, busy and tomrrow I am going over to hang out at my dad's house to eat and swim! :D

Well enough about me, here's a card I made using one of my new Paper Prettie stamps called Need a Cuddle? I just love Sophia and thought she would go great paired with the Silhouette polka dot paper and I decided to add Blush with it! :D I love how it came out, it's a little simple but I like it! :D Well sorry this is short, but I'm off to watch some Big Brother and then do some more stamping!!! Since my last post, I hope I still have some readers out there...LOL!!! :D Life's just been busy with work and home that I haven't had much time to do any card making lately. I've gotten some new stamps and they are all waiting to be inked up, hopefully with the long weekend approaching I can find some time to stamp!

Here's one of my new stamps from Paper Pretties called Bunny Slippers Sophia! :D This is so me in the mornings...I am totally not a morning person!!! :D I had a difficult time with this card last night, it was like pulling teeth. So after a few hours I decided this will have to do...it was already late and I needed to get to bed. My card is a 5" x 10" piece of Chocolate CS folded in half. I then layered a piece of Baby Pink CS on top of that and then a piece of Creative Cafe dp on top of that! :D I just love this paper and have been using it quite a bit lately...hope your not too tired of it?!?! :D I then pierced around the whole dp sheet and added a silver brad to each corner. I stamped Sophia with Brilliance Graphite Black onto White Daisy CS and colored her with my copics. I then layered her onto some Baby Pink CS and then on some Chocolate CS. I love piercing so I pierced around the whole image and added a silver brad to each corner. I added some chocolate grosgrain ribbon and pop dotted my image onto my base. I stamped my sentiment in Brilliance Graphite Black as well and layered it on a piece of Baby Pink CS, also piercing and adding brads to it! :D

New CTMH Colors...

Happy Saturday Morning!!! :D I am up early because I have a unit meeting this morning, so I decided to post my card that I had to make for the meeting today! :D It uses the new CTMH colors Creme Brulee, Tulip, Juniper and Sorbet...aren't those colors just scrumptious?!?! :D It's a 4 1/4" square card, something simple and easy! :D I used Creme Brulee for my base and added strips of Tulip and Juniper. My main image uses the new Sept. SOTM Treasure Life and I stamped the flowers in Tulip on White Daisy CS. I then layered my image onto some Spring Iris CS and added three Sorbet brads to the center of my flowers. I forgot to mention that I distressed all the pieces of CS then I added a piece of twill ribbon around my image and pop dotted it onto my base. The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Ink and it's from the Whooo loves you stamp set from CTMH. My final step was to pierce around the corners of my main image just to give it a little something extra!!! :D

Good evening, almost early Saturday morning! Sorry it's been a while since I posted something new, but I definitely have something cute and new today! Laurel sent me this sweet Fabby image from Stamping Bella, isn't she just the cutest?!?! I knew I wanted to use this color combo and my Creative Cafe papers from CTMH when I saw this image...she's so cute!!! :D My card is a standard piece of Chocolate CS that I ran through my CB using the Spots and Dots folder. I cut a strip of Creative Cafe dp and layered it onto a piece of Blush CS and taped it down the middle of my base. I then colored my image with my copic markers and layered Fabby onto some Baby Pink, Chocolate & Sweet Leaf CS. I then added a silver brad to each corner and one prima flower on the top left corner. Super cute card, eh?!?! Well that's it for tonight folks. I made another card tonight, but I can't get a great pic, the colors are off . I have a unit meeting tomorrow so I better get to bed now!!! Hey, Hey, Hey!!!

Hey there...how was everyone's Hump day?!?! Mine was ok, I was about an hour late to work though! I could not for the life of me get up today. I woke up when my hubby came to the bedroom to give me a kiss on my forehead before he left for work (as he does every morning) and I woke up with a headache. Waking up with headaches are never good for me. So I fell right back to sleep when he left and good thing he called me when he got to work because it was already 7am and I was still asleep! I am supposed to be out the door by 7am, no later than 720am, and what do I do...I get off the phone with him and fall right back to sleep till 730am. I just could not get out of bed, my head hurt and I didn't feel like going to work. So I called work and told them I'll be late. Oh well I still have a slight headache, but it's not as bad as it was this morning.

Well I know you didn't come here to hear me blab, you came here to see something so much better, but I don't have nothing for ya'...nada, zero, zilch. (LOL!!!) I am still working on my swap cards and I just haven't felt like creating much of anything lately...I am so sorry! But guess what?!?! I still have something awesome to show you that I received from my good friend Laurel today!!! She sent me a birthday card with some OH SO FUN images and I can't wait to color them in!!! :D This card is so sweet and I just love every detail and I love how Laurel stitches on her cards...just beautiful!!! :D

And aren't these the sweetest images?!?! I can't wait to color that mouse sitting on that yummalicious cupcake, I just hope I don't mess him up cause I've got one shot to make him pretty!!! :D Thanks Laurel so much for these great images and super adorable card...YOU ROCK!!! :D

Well I have another reason to be excited...my Paper Pretties stamps were in my mailbox waiting for me....YAY!!! :D I just wonder how long they have been sitting there, I hadn't checked my mailbox since Saturday! Oh well...there here with me now and I can't wait to use them. I also told you about my new Bellas the other day and Sparkle asked me what I got so here it goes...I got Halobella, Globetrottabella, Daisybella (love her), Chefabella and I Can't See A Thing Abella (So cute)!!! :D I also got a few sentiments like Surprise, Hang in There and You're An Angel! Hope everyone had a great weekend and a fabulous Monday!!! :D My weekend was pretty busy...ran errands, got my hair colored and cut, and did some shopping!!! :D My Monday wasn't so bad either and I meant to post this cute Sophia card yesterday, but just didn't get the chance. I have also been working on some cards for a Paper Pretties Swap (no these are not them..LOL!!!). I think I am finally happy with my card, so now I can mass produce them...yay!!! I actually woke up at 4am this morning to finish them, I went to bed at 8pm last night so I had plenty of sleep!!! :D I hope your not getting tired of this Sophia?!?! I actually ordered more but they just haven't come in yet. So let's get on to the card....

I used some paper that Carolyn sent me called Creative Cafe by CTMH. It's been retired, but I wasn't a consultant yet or didn't even know about CTMH then, so Carolyn was so nice to send me some...thanks girlie!!! :D My card is pretty simple...used my corner rounder for the scallops, colored Sophia with my copics, paper pierced around the image and added some silver brads to each corner of the image. And there ya' have it...easy peasy! :D

I got my new colors from CTMH yesterday...I so can't wait to use them, but I have to finish my swap cards before I can jump into anything new! I also received some new Bellas on Friday and have yet to open them as well. My two great friends Andrea and Elizabeth got a me a gift voucher to Stamping Bella for my b-day so they finally came in and I can't wait to get them all inky!!! :D Well thanks for listening to me ramble on and on, but I gotta run. Happy Friday!!! I'm so glad that the weekend is here and I hope to get a lot of stamping done too!!! :D I was able to cut out all my paper early last night for my class tonight, so I decided to make this card before I called it a night.
