Floral Tapestry...

Hello all...I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! It was such a beautiful weekend here and we had a great time at the cook off. I wanted to share a project I worked on last week for my next class with you. As you know I had made a box with some cards for my friends birthday. I hated to give it away b/c I liked it so much (I'm sure you know what I mean...at least I hope you do). I decided I would make one for myself and make it my project for my next class. With all the cards we make I need something to keep them organized, and if my girls are anything like me they probably have cards laying around EVERYWHERE!!! :D This box will store your regular A2 size cards. I covered the box using CTMH's Floral Tapestry DP using Modge Podge. I loved this paper as soon as I saw it and knew this is what I wanted to use for my card box. I used the circles pattern (my fav) for the outside and a bold stripe for the inside and on the rim of the lid. Once the box was covered I applied a thin coat of modge podge on top of the paper to give it a shine. :D

Of course my favorite part of the box is the lid. I added a strip of Polka Dot Floral Tapestry DP and trimmed the strip with pink satin ribbon. I then used my Rustic Alpha and stamped the word CARDS on a piece of Colonial White CS. I then cut them out leaving part of the White CS as a border & then added embellies. I used some embellies from my stash like flowers, buttons & a few brads.

My next step was to added dividers to separate each occasion. I used a coluzzle file folder template to make these dividers. Then I just added a brad and used my Sans Alpha to stamp each divider (Birthday, Love U, For U, etc...) I still need to add some others to mine, but you get it.

The last pic I have attached is the finished product. I just love how this turned out and the best thing about it is...IT'S ALL MINE!!!! :p
Hope you like!!!!!

Stamps: Rustic Alpha, Sans Alpha (CTMH) Paper: Floral Tapestry DP (CTMH) Ink: Twilight (CTMH) Other: Coluzzle, Pewter Brads, Spriral Clip, Waxy Flax, Colonial White Bigger Brad (CTMH), Flowers from my stash
