Marjorie's Color Challenge #3...

Happy Wednesday!!! I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the weekend by now...I know I am! :D I can't believe we have one day left of January...time sure does go by fast!!!

Well I decided to try Marjorie Eno's Color Challenge she is hosting on her blog! This is for Color Challenge #3. The rules were to use Petal, Amethyst, Spring Iris, and Sweetleaf. Well, I only had Petal and Sweet Leaf, so I added Lilac Mist (closest thing I could find to Spring Iris) and Blush. The first stamp set that came to mind when I saw these colors was Angel Whisper (CTMH). I started out with Petal as my base (5.5 x5.5). Next I added a piece of Lilac Mist CS (5 x 5) and then added Sweet Leaf and random stamped circles from the Angel Whispers stamp set. I used our edge distresser to distress the Lilac Mist and Sweet Leaf CS ( I LOVE distressing) :D On the White Daisy CS I sponged Petal and Blush and then distressed it. I embossed the word "SMILE" in blush, and I used used pop dots for the flower and a pink button for the center. Then I used some ribbon I got at Target for a $1 for the stem. I then added 3 white brads and I was done! I am really pleased with how this turned out!!! Thanks Marjorie for this color challenge. I was hesitant at first but glad I participated! I can't wait for the next one!!! :D

Stamps: Angel Whispers Paper: Petal, Lilac Mist, Sweet Leaf, & White Daisy (CTMH) Ink: Petal, Lilac Mist, Blush, & Sweet Leaf (CTMH) Other: Ribbon (Target), Pop Dots, Edge Distresser (CTMH), Button (Hobby Lobby), White Brads (Spare Parts), Sponge (CTMH)

Balloonabella

Hello All...I hope you had a fabulous weekend!!! I was out of town this weekend and haven't had much time to stamp till today. My Bellas finally came in and I couldn't wait to ink them up!!! :D I went to my LSS and found some cute paper I wanted to use for a Valentine card, and I also picked up some Stickles (gotta love those stickles)!!!! It took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to use Balloonabella!!! This card is 51/2 x 5 1/2. I used pencils to color her, and I used a copic marker (skin white) to color her legs and face! :D I also used my new Stickles (fruit punch) to add some shimmer to the balloons, it looks great in person. I think she came out cute and I am really happy with the outcome of this card, except for one thing! I was trying to tie the ribbon on the card and something must have been wet on my table and got on her black dress and it smeared a black pencil mark past her arm. Does anyone know how I can touch that up without ruining the card! You may not be able to see it but it's there and it's killing me! I love this card so much, but the perfectionist in me takes over and I want to fix it, but I don't want to make it worse. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Stamps: February Word Puzzle (CTMH), Balloonabella Paper: My Minds Eye, Black & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Black (CTMH) Other: Pencils, Fruit Punch Stickles, Sparkles & Black Ribbon (CTMH), Pink Ribbon (American Crafts), Pop Dots, Circle Punch

Bellas

So I hadn't checked my mail for about a week, and to my surprise when I decided it was time for me to check it (the mailman had to be mad) my Bella stamps had arrived...WHOHOO!!!!!!!
I was so excited, I just wish I would have checked the mail earlier!!! Anyway, I am so glad the weekend is here and I should still be sleeping, but I am on my way out of town b/c my niece is having her Quincenera (15th Birthday) Party today. So I didn't get to stamp with my Bellas last night like I wanted to...I had to pack. But I know as soon as I make it back in to town I will be stamping!!! So please stay tuned!!!!! :)

Life Delights

Happy Wednesday!!! So the weekend is fast approaching and I couldn't be more ecstatic!!! This weekend my niece is turning 15 and she is having a Quincenera. Her colors are Pink & Black so I wanted to make her birthday card using those colors. I wanted something simple and elegant, as she is growing up! I think I accomplished it with this card, it's one of the most simpler ones I have done. It's a 6x6 card using White Daisy CS as the base, and I used Life Delights B&T to cover the base. I used CTMH's Big Pink Blooms for this one and made a tag for the center of the flower and attached it with a Baby Pink button using black waxy flax. I also used some Pink sparkles that I got from Michaels for $1.

Paper: Life Delights, White Daisy, Black, & Baby Pink CS (CTMH) Stamps: Happy Birthday
Ink: Black Other: Corner Rounder, Black Waxy Flax (CTMH), Baby Pink Button (CTMH), Pink Sparkles (Michaels)

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #31...

This card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #31!!! This is my first challenge and I was so excited to do it!!! This is a 6" x 6" card using my new stamp set "Angel Whispers". I was so excited to get this set that I knew I had to use it for this challenge. It's a 6 x6 card using White Daisy CS as the base. I random stamped circles on the Blush CS using Blush Ink. Using my corner rounder I made a scalloped edge on the Lilac Mist CS and used my distresser and sanding block to distress the Breeze CS. Using my cirlce punch I then punched out the flowers and added some pastel brads. Then I stamped my flowers and a stem and layered it on a piece of Sweet Leaf CS. I also pop dotted the flowers to give some dimension. This card was very easy to make and I hope you like it as much as I had fun making it!!! Now I am off to bed.

Paper: White Daisy, Blush, Lilac Mist, Breeze, & Sweet Leaf CS (CTMH) Stamps: Angel Whispers, Star Struck (CTMH) Ink: Blush, Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Breeze (CTMH) Other: White Twill (Martha Stewart), Pastel Brads (Spare Parts), Corner Rounder (CTMH) , Circle Punch, Distresser & Sanding Block (CTMH)

Silhouette...

Happy Friday!!!! Hope everyone had a great week!!!! I am ready for some rest and relaxation this weekend, and of course some STAMPIN!!!! So I have to say that I "shamelessly cased" this card from Marjorie Eno's blog. Check out her card here on her blog. I knew I wanted to use the new Silhouette Creative Basics that CTMH just came out with, and when I saw her card I thought it was AMAZING and I just had to make one for myself. ;)

This is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2 card. You can't tell in the picture, but I ended up using clear EP on the word "LOVE" and the "Big Heart". I originally had just stamped the scrolls on the pink cardstock in "Baby Pink", but you really couldn't see it. It was just really, really light! So I decided I would emboss the scrolls on the pink CS and the "Heart" on the circle tag with clear EP. You can't tell in the photo, but it really looks alot better in real life now that I embossed it!!!! I ended up sponging "Baby Pink" around the "LOVE" and the "Big Heart". I also used my paper piercer, just piercing a straight line on the top and bottom of the black CS (hard to tell in the photo). I also pop dotted the "Big Heart" and used our "Big Pink Blooms". And I just want to give a big "THANKS" to Marjorie for creating such a beautiful card!!!!!!

Paper: Silhouette Creative Basics, Black, Colonial White, & Baby Pink CS (CTMH) Stamps: Soul Mates & February Word Puzzle Ink: Black & Baby Pink Other: CTMH Just Blooms & Big Pink Blooms, Black Waxy Flax & Black Stitched Ribbon (CTMH), black brad (Spare Parts), Clear EP, Sponge, Pop dots, Circle Punch

Eastertime

So it's been a few days since I last blogged. I have been busy with work, exercise, and trying to catch up on some sleep. I am getting ready for a couple of card classes next week, and while everyone else out there is making Valentine cards, I made an Easter card using our Stamp of the Month "Eastertime". I wasn't sure I was going to like this stamp set, but it is slowly growing on me.

My upline Elizabeth gave me a card and I cased the sketch from that card, so I want to give credit where credit is due!!! I random stamped on the Blush CS and edge distressed on the Chocolate CS. I also sponged the Lilac Mist in the same color ink, but it's hard to tell in the photo, and I added liquid glass to the flowers (they look better in person). I like the simplicity of this card and I hope my girls like it as well. I am still waiting for my order to come in with all my new things from CTMH. In there will be my new stamp set "Soul Mates" that I will use for the Valentines card...can't hardly wait!!! :)

Good Times

I always look forward to the weekend so I can sleep in and stamp! I was finally able to make a criss cross card ( I have been wanting to for a while now). I found it very simple to make using the tutorial on SCS website. I have to say I am pretty pleased with how it turned out, but if I had to pick my favorite part of the card it would be the ribbon and big bloom!!! Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, I am off to stamp some more!
