I love spending time with my family and can't wait to see everyone. I am so glad that we all live in the same town and actually get together all the time as much as we can!!! :D I made him this birthday card...and I really like the simplicity of it.

Mass Production...

So I wanted to try some very simple cards that I could mass produce but just use different sentiments! All the cards are regular A2 cards with White Daisy Textured CS as the base. I used my Angel Whispers stamp set and some buttons from my stash to complete all these cards!!! My flower image didn't come out clear, no matter how much I inked it, but I like it!!! :D I also used my "For Every Occasion" stamp set for all the sentiments. Hope you like!!! :D

Colors: Orchid Bouquet & Breeze
Colors: Pink Carnation & Sring IrisColors: Spring Iris & KiwiColors: Lilac Mist & Sunkiss Yellow
Colors: Baby Pink & Key Lime
Colors: Crystal Blue & Taffy
Stamps: Angel Whispers & For Every Occasion (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy Textured CS (CTMH) Other: Buttons from my stash, Colonial White Waxy Flax (CTMH)

Life Delights Gift Box...

So as you know I have been working on some cards for my friends Birthday gift. I decided I wanted to make something special to put them in and also something she could use there after. So I went to Michael's and got a Craft Box and some Modge Podge and went to town!!! :D Her favorite color is pink so I decided I would use the Life Delights DP. I absolutely LOVE this paper!!! I used all patterned paper to cover the entire box. I used the Modge Podge to adhere the paper to the box and when the box was completely covered and dry I added another light coat of Modge Podge to the box to give it a shine. I have to say that my favorite is the inside of the box. I love Sweet Leaf and Chocolate together. I also love the design on the paper...very chic!!! (It's hard to see the inside of the box in this pic...sorry)
I covered the top of the box with the cute DP in the paper pack that had these flourishes on it. I wanted to do as little stamping as possible on the lid of the box and this specific DP worked out perfect. I just love all the flourishes...they look so whimsical to me. I stamped all the words on the paper using my Playful Flourishes stamp set. I also added some sparkles and tiny flowers, and I think it gave it a nice touch. In the bottom left hand corner I added a brown felt flower from Creative Cafe and then pop dotted a Big Pinks flower on top of it. And to personalize the box I bought an "E" for her first initial at Michael's for $.50. I liked this "E" because its got the same whimsical feeling that the flourishes on the box have. I added some satin lilac ribbon to the "E" and placed in on top of the flowers. :D Next is just a side view of the box. I covered the bottom of the box with the same DP just without the flourishes and also added some striped DP to cover the edge of the lid. Overall I am pretty please with how this came out and my friend absolutely LOVED it!!!!

Stamps: Playful Flourishes Ink: Chocolate, Blush, Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Colonial White Paper: Life Delights DP Other: Craft Box, Modge Podge, Brown Felt Flower (Creative Cafe), Big Pinks Flower (CTMH), Lilac Satin Ribbon (Basic Basic), Sparkles (CTMH), Flowers (CTMH)

Sweet...

So last night was the release of some of the new Bella stamps!!! They are so awesome and you should go check them out!!! There was a sketch challenge on the Bella forum for the new release so here is my card. The card base is a piece of 5x12Ocean CS folded in half. Then I layered it with a 4.75 x 5.75 piece of Basic Greys Blush DP and used my circle punch for the corners. I knew I wanted to use Cupcakeabella for this challenge. I stamped her in Chocolate ink on a piece of White Daisy CS. I then colored her with my watercolor pencils (Staedtler) and then paper pieced the icing on the cupcake with Basic Greys Blush DP. I then used a piece of Textured Taffy CS to matte Cupcakeabella and distressed the White Daisy and Taffy CS. I used my Adorable stamp set for the word "SWEET". I just love the font of this stamp...it is my fav!!!! :D Last but not least I placed some pink sparkles on each corner of the card. I am really pleased with how this turned out, and I hope you like it too.

Life Delights...

So here is another card to add to my friends present. This card was very simple to make and I can't take full credit for it. I shamelessly cased this card from Beate's Blog. I started with a 5x10 Blush CS base folded in half. I then layered it with a piece of Chocolate CS. I then layered that with a piece of Colonial White CS and Life Delights PP and used the corner punch for the corners. I used some green satin ribbon to separate the Colonial White and Life Delights paper. Next I used the April SOTM "Express Postage." I stamped that on a piece of Colonial White CS in Chocolate and cut it out. I then used my 3/4" circle punch to punch out the middle. I also used my 3/4" cirlce punch for the Blush petals that I saw on this blog called Me, My Stamps and I. Check out her blog here. I then paper pierced each petal. I really liked this when I saw it and had to try it since I don't have a scallop punch. I then added a small piece of Lilac Mist behind the pink petals and then added a green button and used some Colonial Waxy flax for the center and I was done!!! :D

Stamps: Express Postage (CTMH) Paper: Blush CS, Chocolate CS, Colonial White CS, Life Delights PP (CTMH) Ink: Chocolate (CTMH) Other: Green Satin Ribbon (Basic Basic), Green Button, Colonial White waxy flax (CTMH), Corner Punch, Paper Piercer

Happy Birthday...

Happy Monday!!! :D I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I did!!! I was able to work on a few cards and just relax. This is not one of my favorite cards that I have done, but it will do. I used Sugar Daddy Bazzil Bling CS for my base which is 5x5. I then used a piece of Blush CS and then topped that with a piece of Polka Dot paper from paper studio. I am really into Polka Dots right now so when I saw this paper I had to have it. I used my "Happy Birthday" stamp set and then added some felt flowers and a yellow brad. Like I said...not my favorite but it will do!!!

Stamps: Happy Birthday Paper: Bazzil Bling CS, Blush CS (CTMH) Ink: Sweet Leaf & Blush (CTMH) Other: Blue & Orange Felt Flower (Making Memories), Sunkiss Yellow Bigger Brad (CTMH)

I have had her for a while but this is the first time I am using her. When CTMH came out with the Floral Tapestry PP I absolutely loved it and that is what I wanted to use for this card. I also used my new favorite felt flowers from Creative Cafe.

Week of LOVE Challenges - Day 1

Ok, so I am back to feeling a little better and decided I would start on some of the challenges I have been dying to complete!!!! :D

This card is for Marjorie's Week of LOVE Challenges. Check out Marjorie's blog for more details!!!! The first challenge was to use HEARTS!!! Well I have some favorite Hearts that I knew I wanted to use. These hearts are from my new stamps from CTMH and I just love using them. I wanted to do something fairly clean and simple, so this what I came up with. I started out with a 5x5 White Daisy card base. I used the "Free Spirit" stamp "My Heart Belongs to You". I stamped it in Cranberry ink and stamped the image on some Baby Pink CS. I then cut the circle out with my Coluzzle and sponged it with Cranberry ink. I then stamped the three different sized hearts (each in a different CS) and then sponged the two bigger hearts in Blush and the small heart in Cranberry. Then I used my new red polka dot ribbon and wrapped it around each end of the circle using some crystal brads to hold it down on each side. I then placed the three hearts accordingly inside the circle. I used pop dots for the big white heart to give some dimension and then I just taped the red and pink heart on top of the white heart and my card was complete. I feel I accomplished the clean and simple look I was going for. Now I am off to finish the challenges for day 2 and 3 so stay tuned!!! :D

Stamps: Free Spirit, Soul Mates, February Word Puzzle (CTMH) Ink: Cranberry, Blush (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy CS, Baby Pink CS (CTMH) Other: Coluzzle, Pop Dots, Crystal Brads, Red Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX), Sponge (CTMH)

Fender Bender...

Hello...I hope everyone is well!!! I have no artwork today, matter of fact for the last couple of days...I apologize. Just trying to get some things done that I have been pushing aside for awhile and then another ROAD BLOCK! I had a fender bender yesterday, some lady hit me from behind....arghhhhhh!!!! I was so ticked, but I didn't cry...which I almost always do! I was at a complete stop and she was driving too fast and didn't stop in time and slammed her big SUV into my little HONDA CIVIC. The impact was pretty hard, but I walked away without any bumps! Needless to say when I woke up this morning the whole left side of my body was pretty sore! I just got home from the doctors office and she said it would be sore for a while. I had to get an inflamatory shot and of all places in the hip, boy did that sting...arghhhhh!!! I am such a baby when it comes to shots!

My poor HONDA...since I have had it, it has been in so many wrecks. Not counting this wreck it has been in 2 other wrecks!!! First time someone hit me from behind. Second time my husband hit a parked car...how crazy is that??? (LOL) :D I swore if I got in another wreck I would get rid of my car, but the thing is my car will be paid off in October and I am so looking forward to having ONE car payment. :D Everyone always says that car is bad luck and I should get rid of it, but I won't. I will probably drive it till the wheels come off!!! :D

So now I am off to rest and probably watch that new series coming out tonight...Lipstick Jungle! I think Grey's is a re-run. I wish the writers strike would END ALREADY!!!

Hope I didn't bore you too much today with my story, maybe I will have something for ya' this weekend!!! I want to play in Marjorie's color challenge!!! Check out her blog here if you want to play!!!!

I've Been Tagged...

I've been tagged by Marjorie!

These are the rules:- You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.

My middle name is Marie:

M - I can be MESSY. I hate to admit it but it's true.

A- I am ADDICTED...to all things stamping that is!!! :)

R- I am RELIABLE. You can count on me for anything. There is nothing I wouldn't do for my friends and family.

I - I can be very INDECISIVE. Ask my husband...he knows! :)

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #33...

Well I finally finished Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #33. Check out Beate's Blog if you want to do the challenge. For this challenge I knew I wanted to use Serendipity. It was a challenge b/c I am not used to doing cards this size, but I think I pulled it off. My base was Bamboo Textured CS and then I added a piece of Serendipity B&T on the base and added 3 Colonial White Bigger Brads on the B&T. Next I added a strip of Chocolate Textured CS down the middle and paper pierced the edges. Die cuts came in the Serendipity paper pack, so that is what I used for the flowers. They are Dutch Blue Textured CS Flowers! I also used some Bamboo die cuts and added a pewter spiral clip for the center of the flower. Then I added a big bronze brad to finish it off. I used some polka dot ribbon and made my tag with a 1" Circle Punch in Dutch Blue and a 3/4" circle punch in Bamboo. Then I used my For Every Occassion Stamp set to stamp the word "Hi" on the Bamboo circle. When I was done with the cards, I thought it needed something else...so I decided to sand the Bamboo and Chocolate CS! Hope you like!!!

Stamps: For Every Occasion (CTMH) Paper: Serendipity B&T, White Daisy CS, Bamboo Textured CS & Chocolate Textured CS (CTMH) Ink: Chocolate Other: Colonial White Bigger Brads, Pewter Spiral Clips, Serendipity Die Cuts, Chocolate Waxy Flax, Sanding Block (CTMH), Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX), 1"Cirlce Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Paper Piercer

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D

Love You...

This is the third card I made last night and I decided to use Balloonabella once more. I started out with a White Daisy CS base. I knew I wanted to use red and at least two different shades of pink on this card. I used a scrap piece of red CS from my sisters stash and ran it through our new Cuttlebug!!! Then I used some scraps from the Scenic Route DP I had for the two pink pieces. I then colored my Balloonabella with some pencils, red for the dress and shoes and then colored her balloons a real pretty shade of pink (kinda like the middle scrap of pink on the card base). I then put some Crystal Stickles over the heart ballons to make them glitter. I used my Sans Alpha for "Love you" and then matted the Bella on some black CS (again from my sisters stash) and pop dotted her on the base for dimension. I then added a pink felt flower and red button center from Creative Cafe and then added some black polka ribbon from my stash through the button.

Stamps: Balloonabella, Sans Alpha Ink: Blush & Black (CTMH) Paper: Red CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Black Other: Pink Felt Flower & Red Button (Creative Cafe), Crystal Stickles, Black Polka Ribbon, Pop Dots

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D

Be My Valentine...

Good Morning!!! I am so exhausted and can't even begin to tell you why I am up already. Let's just say me and my sis stayed up all night making cards...till like 4am, crazy...I know!!!! But when you do one, you want to do another and another and you just can't stop the flow!!!! :)

I made a few more Valentine Cards last night or should I say this morning! I love make 5x5 cards so that's what this is. I used more shimmery CS from my LSS, not sure who makes it, but I absolutely love it. When I saw this DP from Scenic Route I knew I had to have it. I have to say I think this is my favorite type of layout on cards, half the CS base and half DP. Very easy to make and you can get a few done at one time. I used my February Word Puzzle stamp set for the pink and red hearts, and used pop dots and put them on a clean piece of white daisy CS. I then used the Sans Alphabet for "Be My Valentine." This is beginning to be my favorite alpha, being that the alphas are small and add a simple and clean look to the card. I added some Green shimmery CS and added a piece of black CS behind it and used some pop dots for dimension. Next I added this great green and polka dot ribbon ( I love polka dots) and used a black button from Creative Cafe.

Stamps: February Word Puzzle, Sans Alphabet (CTMH) Paper: Scenic Route, White Daisy and Black CS (CTMH), Pink and Green CS Ink: Black, Blush, Cranberry (CTMH) Other: Green Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX), Button (Creative Cafe), Pop Dots

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D

Cupcakeabella...

Hello all...hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. Tomorrow is the Superbowl and I hope we will be winning some money!!! My husband joined a pot a work so...WISH US LUCK!!!! :D Today me and my sis made it a scrap day! We always decide that we would start EARLY in the morning and scrap till late, late at night. But what usually happens is we get together early and then we hit up all the stores...Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and a few of our local scrapbook stores! Then by the time we are ready to scrap it's 4pm! (LOL) So we got home from Michaels (we went halves on a Cuttlebug) and started working!!!

I have been anxiously waiting to get Cupcakeabella dirty!!! :D I found some cardstock at my LSS and it was textured and shimmery...it's really pretty! I used My Minds Eye DP and paper pieced her dress and the cake liner. This is the first time I paper pieced anything and I am so happy with it!!! I added some satin ribbon to divide the texture CS and the DP. I also found these amazing felt flowers by Creative Cafe at my LSS and just had to have them!!! I thought it went well with this card.

Stamps: Cupcakeabella, Sans Alphabet (CTMH) Paper: Chocolate CS (CTMH), My Minds Eye
Ink: Chocolate (CTMH) Other: Satin Ribbon (American Crafts), Felt Flower (Creative Cafe), Pop Dots, Pencils, Copic Marker

I am a huge fan of cupcakes, just ask anyone that knows me!:D I did bake some cupcakes last night (chocolate & lemon) for a card making class I am having tonight! Once a month I make cards and hold a class for a few of my friends that I scrapbook with. We have a great time just making cards, and of course eating! It's a girls night out doing what we love...what more could you ask for!!!

Well I don't have any cards to post today, but I hope to have some to show you tomorrow! I also hope to do Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Check out her blog, she does amazing work!!!
