Just Because...

Hey there! I am trying to post at lightning speed right now!!! :D I need to be packing so we can head out of town when my hubby gets home, but I had to take pics of my latest project and post them before I left. I had to take the pics in the sunlight, so since I was up working late last night I had to wait till I came home from work to take the pics. I left to work while it was still dark outside so I couldn't do it this morning. I can never take good pics at night. Don't know what it is, but it urks me! LOL!!!

Anywho, here is my latest project. Michelle over at Mish Mash has been doing these killer stationary sets and I just thought this would be the perfect thing to finish my friends gift. I made fourr cards and lined 4 envies. The cards are 5 1/4" x 7 and I just cut the inside a 1/4" shorter. I used Vineyard Berry CS as my base and White Daisy CS for the inside. For the top banner I used the Sugared Paper from Basic Grey...love it! The width of that is 1 1/2". I used my circle scalloped punch and punched out 4 Baby Pink circles. I then punched out 4 cirlces of Autumn Terracota Textured CS and then I punched four smaller White Daisy cirlces. I used my It's a Party Stamp set for the dotted green cirlces and stamped it it Garden Green and my Say It With Style stamp set for "Just Because". This came together pretty fast. Once I was done with all the cards I lined the 4 envies with Sugared paper from Basic Grey. I didn't have a cute box to put it in, so I thought I would tie it all together with some cute Chocolate & Polka Dot Ribbon. I think it's cute, now all I have to do is make a cute bag to put it in.

Well I hope you all have a great weekend!!! I won't have anything else to post till Monday. I plan on taking some things to work on while we are away this weekend. Thanks for stopping by and take care! :D

I wanted to show you a close up pic of the top part of the card! I thought these colors whet together nicely. Well I hope she likes it as much as I do, I will definately be making more of these!!! :D

Stamps: It's a Party & Say It With Style (CTMH) Paper: Basic Grey Sugared, White Daisy, Vineyard Berry, Baby Pink & Autumn Terracotta CS (CTMH) Ink: Garden Green & Vineyard Berry Accents: Circle Scallop Punch, Circle Punch, Chocolate Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX)

Happy Birthday...

Happy Thursday!!! So I am sure many of you out there know who Dawn McVey is. Well, if you don't please go check out her blog, it's called My Favorite Things and boy does she have some serious talent!!! I just love her style, clean and simple!!! So I fell in love with this card that she made and had to make one for myself. She used all cardstock for hers, but I changed that on mine and used all dp from Prima called "The Breathe Paper Collection". I found this really cute mat stack of paper at Michael's and it was on SALE so I had to get it!!! :D {Well that's always the excuse I give myself when I really don't need to buy anything!!! LOL!!! } My card is a standard card at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used my corner rounder to make the scalloped edge and added some CTMH sparkles to give it some bling!!! :D I used my Happy Birthday stamp set for the sentiment, and I also used some foam squares to add some dimension to the card. This card is for a friend of mine whose birthday was back on May 5th, but we just couldn't seem to get together due to all of our busy schedules. Well now that all of our busy schedules have cleared, we will meet on Monday for dinner...so I will have to wait till then to give it to her.

I also took a close-up pic of the scalloped edge, sparkles, and the dimension of the card!!! I am so happy with the outcome of this card...I hope my friend likes it!!! :D

Stamps: Happy Birthday (CTMH) Paper: Prima "The Breathe Paper Colletion", White Daisy & Crystal Blue CS (CTMH) Ink: Twilight (CTMH) Accents: Sparkles (CTMH), White Twill (Martha Stewart), 3-D Foam Squares & Corner Rounder

A Polka Dot Thank You...

I so needed some Thank You cards so I made this easy and simple card so I could mass produce it! The paper is from Making Memories and even though the color doesn't seem right in the photo, the top paper is like a light blue, but the picture makes it look green. I loved this Polka Dot paper when I saw the Making Memories Mat Stack and to tell you the truth that's the only reason why I bought it! Do you ever do that?!?! I'm so guilty!!! Besides the paper, my next favorite thing is the banner and the jumbo brad!!! I just love these jumbo brads...looks like I will need to buy some more!!! I made this card so it will fit in a standard envie. So don't worry about the banner getting messed up...because it fits perfect!!! So the trick to mass production is making your cards simple and easy, and you'll have all your cards done in no time!!! :D Stay tuned for Sparkle's Bella Color Challenge, I'm sure it will be fabulous!!! :D

Stamps: From Me To You (CTMH) Paper: Making Memories Mat Stack, Black CS & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Cranberry (CTMH) Accents: Making Memories Jumbo Brad

Rough Afternoon...

Wow, today was rough! It's always hard for me to go back after a holiday, I just wanted to be at home asleep in my bed! Well Vicki just made my day better by giving me the Blogging with a purpose award! You have to go and check out Vicki's blog...she does amazing work!!! :D Thanks Vicki, you are too sweet!!! :D So now I will pass it on to Mel, Stacy, Carolyn, & Carla! These ladies have awesome blogs and always create such beautiful things!!! :D Well check you guys later, I am off to cool my heels!!! :D

Also Vicki tagged me and here are the rules

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1. Ten years ago:-I was getting things planned and ready for my wedding in December! Can't believe it will be 10yrs. this year!

2. 5 things in todays to do list. Make my friends b-day gift, make my dad a Thank you card, sleep, sleep, and more sleep!!!

3. Snacks I enjoy:-Crackers & Cheese, & any kind of Fruit

4. Things I would do if I were a Millionaire: Make sure my family is taken care of, build a house and go to Europe!!! :D

5. Places I have lived:-Wow, I don't get around much. I have only lived two places my entire life. I lived in Bay City and I lived in the same house I was raised in till I got married, and then in 2004 we moved to Houston! If this were a question of were we would like to live I would probably say NEW YORK...so fascinated with that city and can't wait to go back and visit!!! :D

Well you are supposed to tag 5-6 people, but if you are reading this and want to play...go right ahead, you've been tagged!!! :D

Have a Fabulous Evening!!!!

Hello Friend...

Happy Tuesday!!! Wow...was it hard for me to get up early this morning and go to work, but at least it's only a four day work week and hopefully it will go by fast! I have a busy week this week! I have to try and make a few cards this week for a friend of mine as part of a gift. I have a dinner on Thursday night with some friends and then on Friday we are going to Bay City for graduation!!!!

Well I'm sure you didn't visit my blog today to hear me talk about my busy week so let's get down to business and look at the card that I made. I lifted this card from Lisa, a fellow CTMH sister. She has a fabulous blog and I just fell in love with the card she made that I had to make my own!!! I changed a few things, like adding Boom-Di-Ada dp to the base of my card and to the flower center! I inked up the flower center edge and flower petals with Barn Red Ink and used my Say It In Style stamp set (imagine that!!! :D) for the sentiment. You all must think that's the only stamp set I have with sentiments!!! LOL!!! Well it's not, I just seem to always reach for that one! Well I hope everyone has a good day at work today...it's always hard for me to get back in the swing of things when we've had a holiday weekend. But I should be fine knowing that we only have four days left to work! :D Stay tuned for Marjorie's Color Challenge!!! :D

Stamps: Say It With Style (CTMH) Paper: Boom-Di-Ada, Hollyhock & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Barn Red & Hollyhock (CTMH) Accents: Hollyhock RicRac (CTMH), 3/4" Circle Punch, Sponge, 3-D Foam Squares & Circle Coluzzle

Happy Memorial Day & Blogger Award...

ETA: So Stacy asked me what book I was reading so here ya' go! One of my favorite authors is Emily Giffin & her latest book is "Love The One You're With". Everytime I have read one of her books I have read them in one day...I just can't seem to put them down!!! The other three books she has written are Something Borrowed, Something Blue & Baby Proof. So read these if you haven't, you will love them.

Hey there, I hope you are all having a great holiday weekend! Mine has been good, we went to my SIL's b-day party on Saturday night and came back home yesterday afternoon! On Friday I found a new book at Target by my favorite author and I just had to get it! I was so happy...I have been carrying this book with me everywhere I go, finding time to read wherever I can. I am almost done, I probably have less than 50 pages to read. So today we are going over to my dad's house, he is going to BBQ and we are going to hang out by his pool and I will probably finish my book there! So today should be fun and very relaxing!

Well lookey what I got! Mel sent me this Kreativ Blogger Award! She is so nice and super sweet for sending me this! I love creating and blogging and get so much inspiration from all the bloggers out there...it's so much fun!!! :D So now I am going to pass this on to Sparkle, Carolina, Jena, Laurel, & Marjorie!!! These ladies are all so very talented and I must say that I am always stalking their blog for inspiration!!! LOL!!! :D There I said it...I am a blog stalker!!! :D Well take care and I am hoping that I get to create sometime b/f the day is over!!!

Marjorie's Color Challenge #19...

Happy Friday!!!! You have no idea how glad I am to see Friday here...this week has just been CRAZY!! I am so ready for a three day weekend!!! :D Well I probably need to do exactly what my card says to do...RELAX! This card is for Marjorie's Color Challange #19. She chose the colors Breeze, Ocean, Goldrush, & Honey. I knew I wanted to use this stamp set when I saw the color challenge. These colors just make me think of Summer and days at the beach relaxing! I stamped my image in Ocean and used my blending pen and Breeze ink to color it in. I stamped the sun in Goldrush twice and used a pencil to color in one of the suns. I then used my new Copic Spica Glitter pen and added some sparkle to the sun!!! This glitter pen works great and even if you can't see it in the picture...it really addes some SPARKLE to the sun!!! :D I pop dotted the image on Ocean CS and added four white daisy brads to each corn. I stamped relax in Brilliance Black Graphite Ink using my Tiny Typewrite Alpha. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend!!! :D

My Paper World Sketch #10...

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! We are just a few days closer to the weekend (and a three day weekend at that) and I can't wait!!! I will be away all weekend staying at my brother's house. My SIL's b-day is this weekend and they are having a PARTY, so we have made plans to stay there for the whole weekend...should be fun. They live in Houston too...so it' s not like we will be far from our home, but I just don't want to be driving back and forth...not with these gas prices!

Well enough jibber jabber this morning...let's get to the card! This card is for sketch #10 over at My Paper World, it's a great blog with some fabulous sketches. She has a sketch challenge every two weeks so go check it out!!! :D I used my Whoops-A-Daisy paper for this one...I just love all these colors!!! I hand stitched my card using some embroidery thread...it took forever and the inside of the card is a disaster...(LOL)!!! :D But I felt like it needed something and this did the trick. I could have faux stitched it but I like this alot better!!! :D Now that I am looking at it I feel like I should have added some brads to the sentiment...just looks plain to me. Oh well, I am not gonna go tearing it apart now...it is what it is!

Sparkle chose the colors Dutch Blue, Outdoor Denim & Autumn Terracotta and I just loved the sketch challenge too so I couldn't help pairing these two challenges together!!! :D Well I think I followed the sketch ok?!?! The only thing I didn't do was add a piece of paper on the side of the main image...well so maybe I didn't follow it, but I just thought the flower looked better (he, he)!!!! :D This card will go to my niece who I think is SUPER! She does good in school and she's pretty good in Soccer too! Gotta run...but I do hope to get some stamping in tonight as there are few more sketch challenges that I want to do and Marjorie will have another color challenge as well....so stay tuned!!! :D

Whimsical Wings....

Well as promised here are my cards that I made for my stash. They are all the same card (color & sketch) except for the sentiment, I used different ones for all four cards. I really like bright colors so I used Ocean, Watermelon, Hydrangea & Sweet Leaf. I used my CB Swiss Dots for the background. Me and my sister share the CB and she's had it for a while, but while I was at her house yesterday I swooped it up! I used my new CTMH stamp set Whimsical Wings for the butterfly. I kept these cards fairly simple since I was making a few. It think they turned out pretty cute and I am happy with the outcome!!! :D Well now I am off to work on the Bella Color Challenge...Sparkle chose the colors Dutch Blue, Outdoor Denim, & Autumn Terracotta!!! Check out her blog if you want to play...she is also giving away some fabulous blog candy, so go check it out!!! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #18

Marjorie picked the colors Pink Carnation, Baby Pink, Kiwi, & Key Lime for her color challenge this week. It's another great color challenge Marjorie and I couldn't wait to play. I am still not feeling 100% better so I decided this card should be short and sweet so I can get back to bed!!! :D It's a really simple Thank You card for my customers that recently just placed an order at my last gathering. My base is a 4" x 8" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I was able to use scraps of Pink Carnation, Baby Pink & Key Lime CS. I stamped the Baby Pink CS with my Spot on Backgrounds stamp set using Baby Pink ink. I then layered all the scraps onto my base. I used the Say It With Style SOTM for the sentiment and stamped Thank You using Kiwi Ink. To add something extra I used my paper piercer to pierce the dots leading up to the sentiment and I also pierced dots on the top of my layers and added a flower from the SOTM "With Love". I added a Key Lime Bigger Brad to the center of the flower and pop dotted it onto my base. It's a pretty simple card and one that I can make lots of that won't take too much time. Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

Good evening everyone...I hope your Tuesday was great!!! I stayed home today because I didn't feel well. I've been running a low grade fever, my body just aches and I feel very nauseated. I pretty much slept ALL DAY LONG!!! So I don't have any new work to show you but I do have this card that I got from Carolina. She is super sweet, has an awesome blog and creates some fantastic cards and alterable items. She knew I had just gotten a new camera recently and she sent me this super adorable Bella card...and I love it!!!! :D This card just SHINES!!! She used some metallic cs and also added some glitter. I love how she stamped the bella in white ink onto black cs...it just makes her pop! And I love the hardware she used...it's just fab!!! So thanks for thinking of me Carolina...you are too kind!!! Well I hope I get to feeling better...my new order from CTMH arrived today and I have lots of goodies to play with as well as Marjorie's Color Challenge!!! :D

Bella Color Challenge #27

Hey all...I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!!! I got back into Houston about 1pm today...so I am just a little tired. But my sister came over to make some cards with me and I thought I would do the Bella Challenge that Sparkle hosts. Sparkle chose the colors Pansy Purple, Orchid Bouquet & Pink Carnation. I really liked this color challenge...I thought the colors went real well together. This card is for my friend whose Birthday is in a few weeks. I added rhinestone brads to my scalloped edge. They really didn't come out all that bright in the photo...but that is what they are. I used my Spot on Backgrounds stamp again...I just can't stop using that stamp set!!! :D I paper pieced Bella's dress with the Polka Dots...it came out super cute!!! Well that's it for today folks...I will be back with something else tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there!!! :D

Stamps: Balloonabella (Stamping Bella), Spot on Backgrounds & Say it With Style (CTMH) Paper: Pansy Purple, Orchid Bouquet, White Daisy, & Pink Carnation CS (CTMH) Ink: Pansy Purple & Orchid Bouquet (CTMH), Copic Marker & Coloring Pencils Accents: Rhinestone Brads

A Caprice Mother's Day

Hey there!!! I am extremely happy the weekend is upon us!!! I wanted to wish all of you mother's out there a "Happy Mother's Day"!!!! I hope it's special and you get to spend it with the one's you love. This evening my husband and I will be leaving out of town just till tomorrow to go visit his mom and spend some time with her for Mother's Day. We have to do it on Saturday because on Sunday we will be taking my mom to brunch!!! :D

So I have only done one Mother's Day card and this one is for my MIL. I used the Caprice papers from CTMH. I loved this paper pack when it came out...the colors are just perfect. So since I haven't used it in a while I decided to pull it out and see what I could come up with. I made this while I was watching Grey's last night....good episode by the way!!!! :D I just had to throw that in!!! (LOL):D So I was having a hard time trying to find flower stamps that would go with this paper...and the closest thing I could find were the Flower Charms (also by CTMH). So I stamped a large and small flower...one in Crystal Blue and one in Honey. I sponged them with Chocolate and also made the centers chocolate as well. I added clear buttons (it's hard to tell in this pic) and some chocolate waxy flax. I sponged just about everything in Chocolate on this card!!!! I hope I didn't go too overboard...but I just love that aged look and I hope I accomplished it! I didn't want to just place the flowers in the center over my ribbon...it just looked so plain. So I grabbed some Colonial White CS and used my Marvy Square Scalloped Punch for my square. I then sponged it with Chocolate...but I felt it was still missing something. So I cut a 2" x 2" piece of striped paper from the Caprice paper pack and adhered it to the square. Then I added some foam squares to my flowers and adhered them to the top of my square. I then added a piece of Crystal Blue CS to cover the center of where the Polka Dots and Flower paper meet. I also sponged it with Chocolate and I cut a piece of Chocolate Ribbon for the center and added some Colonial White Bigger Brads to each end. I wanted to make a bow...but just didn't like how it looked so I opted for this instead. The center image is again pop-dotted onto the ribbon. I have a huge obsession going on with foam squares right now...I think I use them on every card!!! LOL!!!! :D My sentiment was stamped with the Say It With Style stamp set from CTMH in chocolate (I just love this set) and I matted it with some Honey CS. I also sponged both of these pieces and again used some foam squares to adhere it to the bottom of the card. Well thanks for stopping by...I hope you have a Fabulous Friday!!! :D

Stamps: Floral Charms & Say It With Style (CTMH) Paper: Caprice L2 (CTMH) Ink: Chocolate, Crystal Blue & Honey (CTMH) Accents: Chocolate Grograin Ribbon, Clear Buttons, Chocolate Waxy Flax, & Foam Squares

I wish I had a hairdryer that was pink & sparkly!!! :D I then added crystal stickles to her towel and hairdryer...oh so glamorous!!! :D I added some flowers from my stash and a white daisy brad for the center. Summer Sweetness...

Happy Monday & Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!! I hope you guys had a great weekend...but Monday is here and it's time to get to work (arghh!) I wish I had an extra day to recuperate from the weekend!!! :D Monday's are always so tough for me. I get used to staying up late on the weekends that when Sunday night comes I am up till like 11pm and I have to get up at 5am. Makes for a very long and hard day!!! Anyway...enough of me complaining and on to my card!

CTMH came out with this new stamp set in the Summer catty called Summer Sweetness and I just absolutely adore this stamp set!!! I used the Spot on Backgrounds again stamped in Blush using the polka dots on the Blush CS. I scored and sanded the Chocolate CS and I also sanded a piece of Olive CS and added some Colonial White Bigger and Smaller Brads. I used "SWEET" for my sentiment from the Adorable stamp set...I just love the font!!! :D Then I stamped my watermelon in Blush, Olive and Sweet Leaf and used Black for the seeds adding some liquid glass as well. Well that's it for today folks...I wanted this post to be short and sweet!!! ;D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #16 & SFYTT...

Good evening everyone...I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!! :D I have had a great weekend...and I am sad to see Monday come tomorrow. :( Anyway, I wanted to get some challenges done so I combined two together. This card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge and for Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try Challenge. I always love doing Marjorie's color challenges and this is my first time trying Jen's SFYTT challenge. For the color challenge we were to use Blush, Garden Green and Hollyhock. You can add a color and I added Colonial White. Jen's sketch was awesome and I think I am going to try and do her sketches more often...it was so much fun!!! :D I used the Simple Beauty stamp set for this card...it was one of CTMH's Stamp of the Month...sorry I can't remember which month, but it is my first time inking it up! I also used some B&T from the Floral Tapestry paper pack...I just love polka dots and I sanded all the Blush and Hollyhock CS. I ink distressed the Colonial White with Garden Green on both images and sentiment. I added some Colonial White Bigger Brads and smaller brads. I hope I get to get another card done b/f I call it quits for the night, but we'll see b/c my show Brother's & Sister's comes on tonight!!!! :D

Howdy...

Howdy Ya'll!!! I finally have internet access...WHOOHOOOO!!!!! It's late and I still have paper to cut for my party tomorrow (well later on today) so this will be short and sweet!!! I wanted to make a guy card using the Sarsaparilla papers from CTMH. I didn't like these too much when I saw them in the new catty...but they have kind of grown on me. The card base is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Colonial White CS folded in half. I layered Barn Red and Desert Sand CS and then layered those with some Sarsaparilla B&T paper...I just love the plaid!!! :D I used my Delightful Alpha for "HOWDY" and added three pewter brads for the sentiment. I used my Star Struck stamps for the stars and stamped them in Twilight, Barn Red, Desert Sand, & Black. I ink distressed them to give them a rustic look and I just love how they turned out. Both middle stars are pop dotted for dimension. Well I hope you like what you see. I am off to cut my paper and then hit the sack...6 a.m. will come pretty fast!!! :D

Stamps: Star Struck & Delightful Alpha (CTMH) Paper: Sarsaparilla Level 2, Barn Red & Desert Sand CS (CTMH) Ink: Barn Red, Black, Twilight, & Desert Sand (CTMH) Accents: Pewter Brads & Twill Ribbon (CMTH)

Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

Happy Hello...

Hey everyone...I hope you are having a great week!!! My internet is still down so I will make this post quick while I am on my break!!!! :D Thanks for all your well wishes for my Dr.'s Appt. I really appreciate it!!! I am so happy the weekend is near...got lot's going on!!! Tomorrow at work we are having a crawfish boil (YUM) and then I am going straight home after work and having my CTMH catalog release/NationalScrapbooking Day Party!!! I am so glad the new catty is out, and it's one of my favorites that has been released since I have been a consultant.

Well now let's get to my card...I used my Boom-Di-Ada paper for this one. I inked all my edges with coordinating inks to the CS. For my sentiment I used CTMH's Stamp of the Month for May "Say With In Style". I stamped it on Colonial White CS using Hollyhock ink. I then matted it on a piece of Olive CS, added two Autumn Terracotta brads and pop dotted it. I also added three Autumn Terracotta brads to the bottom right corner, but now I am thinking I should have just added one to each of the bottom corners. We'll see...just may have to change it. :D I used the Cottage Floral stamp set for the flower and pop dotted it also. I added some twill ribbon and there you have it...easy peasy!!!

Not sure when I will get to post again, so if you don't hear from me tomorrow have a great weekend!!! I hope we can clear up this internet thing soon...I can't take it too much longer!!! (LOL)!!! :D
