Marjorie's Color Challenge #25...

Good morning!!!! We are just a few more days closer to the weekend and I just can't wait...can you tell?!?!?!? I am so glad we get a three day weekend too, I feel like I need the extra day off!!! {LOL!!!} Well this card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge and this weeks color theme was inspired by the 4th of July. Marjorie chose the colors Cranberry, Lilac Mist, Moonstruck and White Daisy.
I would say that my cards lately have been pretty simple and don't have too much going on so I decided I would stick with simple for this card. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and actually thought about it all day at work, it really drives me nuts when that's all I can think about...LOL!!! :D So last night I pulled out my old faithful Happiness stamp set and went to work. If you read my blog you know that I do alot with this stamp set, but mostly with BRIGHT colors. Well I decided it would be a good idea to try something different and Marjorie's color challenge was the perfect thing.

I'm so proud of myself again, because I have used all CTMH products for this card except for some little pearl embellishments...yeah me!!! :D My card is a standard A2 card. What is that you say, "No square card?!?!?" Well I just thought I should change it up a bit, you like?!?!? Anywho, my base is Cranberry and I layered a piece of of Lilac Mist and Moonstruck CS on top of it, but not before I ran it through my cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I then cut a piece of White Daisy CS and stamped Happy Birthday in Moonstruck. Next it was time to work on my daisies. I stamped one large daisy in Cranberry and two small daisies in Moonstruck and Lilac Mist. I cut them all out and arranged them on the bottom right corner of my White Daisy CS. I only pop dotted the two small ones to give the some dimension. I found these cute little pearl embellishments at my LSS and thought they would be the perfect center for my daisies. I just think it adds a little elegance to my simple card. I felt like I needed something in the top left corner to balance out my daisies so I found this cute corner stamp in my Star Struck stamp set that would go perfect with my card. I stamped it in Cranberry ink, cut it out and taped it to the top left corner and it was just what my card needed. Once I was done with my main image I pop dotted it onto my base and added some White Daisy Organdy Ribbon to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Very nice card!I like anything in the red, white, and blue family, so this one is a winner in my book! I'm heading to my stash now...think I'm going to pull together something using this color combo AND try to keep it all CTMH. Thanks for the inspiration.
