Marjorie's Color Challenge #41

Wow, it's almost been a week since my last post...Yikes! :D Sorry everyone for the lack of posting, just trying to get things situated on the home front. I had a very relaxing Thanksgiving and I was able to get my Christmas tree up and all my decorations as well...so relieved!!! We did do some shopping on Black Friday and Saturday. We didn't get up early and we still were able to get everything we wanted...how cool is that! :D

Stamps: Partygirlabella (Stamping Bella) & Annotations (CTMH) Paper: Caprice dp & CTMH CS Ink: Brilliance, CTMH Markers, Twilight Ink & Sorbet Ink Accents: Paper Piercer, Cirlce Nestie, CB Swiss Dots, White Daisy Flowers & Twilight Brad (CTMH)

Well here's is my card for Marjorie's Color Challenge. Marjorie chose the colors Twilight, Crystal Blue, Sorbet & Creme Brulee, what an awesome color combo! :D I have ALOT o f birthday's coming up in the next few months so I'm getting a head start on the cards! :D Wanna know something crazy...I hand stitch this card!!! I really love the look of it, so I'm thinking about asking for a sewing machine for Christmas. I know it would be ten times easier if I had one. Well I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday and I'll be back tomorrow for Prettie Thursday!!! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #38

Happy Tuesday! :D It's back to work for me today! I was able to stamp a bit yesterday while I was home and worked on a few of Marjorie's Color Challenges that I had missed. For color challenge #38, Marjorie chose the colors Bamboo, Desert Sand, Ponderosa Pine and Juniper. Now Marjorie made a winter card with this color challenge and it was sooo cute! So I decided to get out my All Decked Out stamp set from CTMH and go to work. I do have to admit that when I was putting this card together I wasn't sure I was gonna like it. But now that it's done I have fallen in love with it...these colors came together fabulously!!! :D I have been using alot of snowman stamps lately so I hope you're not tired of them yet! :D

Stamps: All Decked Out, Spot on Backgrounds & Annotations (CTMH) Paper: Bamboo, Desert Sand, Juniper & New England Ivy CS (CTMH) Ink: Juniper, Ponderosa Pine, Desert Sand & Black (CTMH) Accents: Sparkles, Twill Ribbon & Juniper Brads (CTMH), Corner Rounder, Piercer, CB Swiss Dots, Circle Punches & Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart)

My card base is a 5" x 10" piece of Bamboo CS folded in half. I then cut a 4" piece of Desert Sand CS and used my corner round to make some scallops! I scissor & inked distressed the CS with Desert Sand ink and pierced holes in the scallops. Next I layered a piece of Ponderosa Pine and Juniper CS on top of my Desert Sand CS. I pierced a line on the top and bottom piece of the Ponderosa Pine CS and ran the Juniper CS through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I also inked and scissor distressed both of these pieces. Next I went to work on my snowman! I stamped him in Black ink onto White Daisy CS. I then paper pieced his hat and scarf with some Juniper CS. I added some sparkles to the snowflakes and layered him onto some Ponderosa Pine & Bamboo CS. Before I pop dotted my image to my base I tied a bow of twill ribbon around the card. My image covers up most of the scallops and I was pretty bummed about that, but what are ya' gonna do! :D I added the sentiment "Happy Holidays" and a snowflake and called it done! :D Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is fabulous!!! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #39

Hey there! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm home today still recovering from an icky cold, but I am feelin' much better!!! Since I'm home I decided to do Marjorie's Color Challenge, it's been way too long since I have done one. For this challenge Marjorie chose the colors Outdoor Denim, Tulip, Ocean & Heavenly Blue. These colors are fabulous together and I couldn't wait to get started!!! :D

Stamps: Penny Black Snowman & Say It in Style (CTMH) Paper: Just Chillin dp & CTMH CS Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black & Copic Markers Accents: Prisma Glitter & Silver Brads (CTMH), Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart) & Pop Dots

I didn't realize till after my card was made that it looks alot like Bella Sketch Challenge #55. I'll be sure to complete that one once I'm done here. Anywho, so I started with a base of Outdoor Denim CS. I then cut a piece of Just Chillin dp and layered it onto a piece of Tulip CS and taped it to my base. I then stamped my image in Brilliance Graphite Black ink onto White Daisy CS. I colored this super cute snowman with my copics and added some glitter to his scarf. (I'm not too happy with how the glitter came out, but I wasn't about to start all over!) I then layered my snowman onto some Heavenly Blue CS and then again on Tulip CS. I lightly distressed each piece with my scissors. Next I added some silver brads to my image and then punch a snowflake out of Outdoor Denim CS and added it to the top left hand corner of my image...super cute! :D Next I stamped the sentiment and called it done! I hope everyone has a super Monday, I'm headed back to my stamp table to see what else I can accomplish! Thanks for stopping by! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #26...

So I decided to tackle Marjorie's Color Challenge last night. Marjorie chose the colors Sweet Leaf, Buttercup & Honey. I was inspired by Stacy to use Chocolate as well and I am so glad I did, so Thanks Stacy!!! :D This card is very simple as you can see and I bet you guys didn't think I owned any other stamps besides Bellas!!! {LOL!!!} I decided to break out the stamp set Friendship Flowers by CTMH that I have had for over year and its never been inked {gasp}! I added some Chocolate Satin Ribbon that my sister gave me and colored some Dew Drops with my copics for some embellishment. I also added some liquid glass to the center of my flower. It looks kind of fuzzy because it's not done drying and I was too impatient to wait to take a picture. Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great day!!! :D

Stamps: Friendship Flowers & Playful Petals (CTMH) Paper: Boom-Di-Ada dp & White Daisy, Buttercup & Honey CS (CTMH) Ink: Honey, Chocolate, Buttercup & Sweet Leaf (CTMH) & Copic Marker Accents: Chocolate Satin Ribbon (Basic Basic), Dew Drops, & 3-D Foam Squares

Marjorie's Color Challenge #25...

Good morning!!!! We are just a few more days closer to the weekend and I just can't wait...can you tell?!?!?!? I am so glad we get a three day weekend too, I feel like I need the extra day off!!! {LOL!!!} Well this card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge and this weeks color theme was inspired by the 4th of July. Marjorie chose the colors Cranberry, Lilac Mist, Moonstruck and White Daisy.
I would say that my cards lately have been pretty simple and don't have too much going on so I decided I would stick with simple for this card. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and actually thought about it all day at work, it really drives me nuts when that's all I can think about...LOL!!! :D So last night I pulled out my old faithful Happiness stamp set and went to work. If you read my blog you know that I do alot with this stamp set, but mostly with BRIGHT colors. Well I decided it would be a good idea to try something different and Marjorie's color challenge was the perfect thing.

I'm so proud of myself again, because I have used all CTMH products for this card except for some little pearl embellishments...yeah me!!! :D My card is a standard A2 card. What is that you say, "No square card?!?!?" Well I just thought I should change it up a bit, you like?!?!? Anywho, my base is Cranberry and I layered a piece of of Lilac Mist and Moonstruck CS on top of it, but not before I ran it through my cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I then cut a piece of White Daisy CS and stamped Happy Birthday in Moonstruck. Next it was time to work on my daisies. I stamped one large daisy in Cranberry and two small daisies in Moonstruck and Lilac Mist. I cut them all out and arranged them on the bottom right corner of my White Daisy CS. I only pop dotted the two small ones to give the some dimension. I found these cute little pearl embellishments at my LSS and thought they would be the perfect center for my daisies. I just think it adds a little elegance to my simple card. I felt like I needed something in the top left corner to balance out my daisies so I found this cute corner stamp in my Star Struck stamp set that would go perfect with my card. I stamped it in Cranberry ink, cut it out and taped it to the top left corner and it was just what my card needed. Once I was done with my main image I pop dotted it onto my base and added some White Daisy Organdy Ribbon to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Stamps: Happiness, Happy Birthday & Star Struck (CTMH) Paper: Cranberry, Lilac Mist, Moonstruck & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Moonstruck, Cranberry & Lilac Mist (CTMH) Accents: CB Swiss Dots, White Daisy Organdy Ribbon (CTMH), Pear Embellishments (Kaiser) & 3-D Foam Squares

Hi there! Hope you all are having a great weekend!!! So right after church today we went and dropped off our nieces and nephew. For this color challenge Marjorie chose the color Citrus Leaf, Ocean, Orange and Sunny Yellow is optional. What FUN I had with this color challenge. These colors are right up my ally and I wanted to do something cute with them. So I decided to pull out my Paradise stamp set. I love the row of drinks stamp and I thought it would go with these colors perfectly, I mean who doesn't like fruity drinks?!?!?! This card is a pretty simple layout but I love it and I also love that I used all CTMH products...yeah for me!!! :D I added some liquid glass to the drinks and used my Clear Copic Spica Glitter pen for some sparkle on the umbrella and little cherry and orange. It's so sparkly in real life!!! :D Well I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday, I'm just glad it's gonna be a three day weekend!!! YEAH!!! :D Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

Hello! I wanted to share with you my card for Marjorie's Color Challenge #23. Marjorie chose the colors Chocolate, Goldrush, Breeze & Holiday Red!!! Sunflower is an optional color & I love that she added it!!!! Anywho, I decided to use Lattebella for this card, Marjorie sent the image to me so I found it fitting!!! :D I colored her using my Prisma pencils and my CTMH Inks & blender pen. I used a my Copic Spica Glitter pen to add some sparkle to her flower and I added some Liquid Glass to her mug. I layered her on some Sunflower CS and then I used my Nestabilities and cut out a piece of Holiday Red CS. Next I added some flowers and put her to the side. My card base is Chocolate CS and is a 5"x 5" card. I cut a piece of Breeze CS and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I then layered that piece with Goldrush CS, taped it to my base and pop dotted my image onto it. The sentiment is from the Say It In Style stamp set stamped with Brilliance Black Graphite Ink on White Daisy CS and layered with a piece of Sunflower CS. Marjorie's Color Challenge #22...

Hey there, TGIF!!!! :D I am so glad Friday is here!!!! I have a busy weekend planned but most of it involves cleaning my apt. and re-organizing some things...especially things in my scrap room, I have got to get a hold of it before it goes too bad!!! LOL!!! :D Then Sunday we are having a cook out at my dad's house and gonna hang by the pool!!! :D Well this card I have to show you today is for Marjorie's Color Challenge. Marjorie chose the colors Cranberry, Twilight, Outdoor Denim and New England Ivy. These are colors that I hardly gravitate too, but I thought these were perfect colors for a Father's Day card. There is really not much going on with this card ( it just might be the simplest card I've done) and since it was going to my dad I didn't want it to be too froo froo!!!! My card is 5 1/4" square, I just {heart} square cards!!!! Anywho, I used Cranberry for my base and added a piece of Outdoor Denim CS that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Spots & Dots folder. I then added some Twill Ribbon and the only piece of Twilight CS I had to go over the Outdoor Denim CS. I also added some big silver brads to each end. For the "Happy Father's Day" I used the Hodgepodge Alpha {love it} and stamped it in Outdoor Denim ink onto White Daisy CS. I then layered it onto a piece of New England Ivy CS. It's hard to tell in the pic, but I did use it. Then I just pop dotted it onto my card and voila, done!!! I'm not really sure I am all too happy with it so I just might have to make another one, but we'll see it might just grow on me, or not! Well thanks for stopping by today!!!! :D

Stamps: Hodge Podge Alpha (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy, Cranberry, Twilight, Outdoor Denim & New England Ivy CS (CTMH) Ink: Outdoor Denim (CTMH) Accents: Silver Brads & 3-D Foam Squares, Twill Ribbon (CTMH), CB Spots & Dots

Marjorie's Color Challenge #21...

For this color challenge Marjorie chose the colors Star Spangled Blue, Cranberry, Topiary Green & Sunflower. I really liked these colors together and knew that I wanted to use the It's A Jungle stamp set when I saw it. This card is simple but I like it (I think!) Anywho it's a 4 x 4 card and I stamped my background using the Spot on Background set with Star Spangled Blue Ink. I added some Topiary Green & Sunflower CS strips to the background and stamped Hello! onto the Sunflower CS in black ink. I stamped my bird onto a piece of White Daisy CS using black ink. I used my coloring pencils to color him in and outlined him in my Cool Gray Copic Marker. I used my scalloped circle punch and punched out a piece of Cranberry CS to layer my bird on. Like I said, nothing much to it...just plain and simple. I am slowly getting back to normal here, just haven't been feeling the best lately. Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

ETA: Ok, I really appreciate all the comments on this card, but all day at work I kept looking at it and wasn't really all that happy with it. I guess I didn't like all the blue paper stamped with that background set and I just felt like it needed something at the bottom. So I changed my card and here is the new one!!! :D All I did was make the Sunflower piece longer and paper pieced it at the bottom. I also added a White Daisy Bigger Brad to each end of my image. Hope you like!!! :D

Here is the first one I did, but I really like the second one much better. I am gonna leave it up here so you can see the difference.

Stamps: Spot on Backgrounds, Say It With Style & Life's a Jungle (CTMH) Paper: Star Spangled Blue, Topiary Green, Sunflower, Cranberry & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Black & Star Spangled Blue (CTMH) Accents: Scalloped Circle Punch (Paper Studio), 3-D Foam Squares, White Daisy Bigger Brads (CTMH), Mat Pack

Marjorie's Color Challenge #18

Marjorie picked the colors Pink Carnation, Baby Pink, Kiwi, & Key Lime for her color challenge this week. It's another great color challenge Marjorie and I couldn't wait to play. I am still not feeling 100% better so I decided this card should be short and sweet so I can get back to bed!!! :D It's a really simple Thank You card for my customers that recently just placed an order at my last gathering. My base is a 4" x 8" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I was able to use scraps of Pink Carnation, Baby Pink & Key Lime CS. I stamped the Baby Pink CS with my Spot on Backgrounds stamp set using Baby Pink ink. I then layered all the scraps onto my base. I used the Say It With Style SOTM for the sentiment and stamped Thank You using Kiwi Ink. To add something extra I used my paper piercer to pierce the dots leading up to the sentiment and I also pierced dots on the top of my layers and added a flower from the SOTM "With Love". I added a Key Lime Bigger Brad to the center of the flower and pop dotted it onto my base. It's a pretty simple card and one that I can make lots of that won't take too much time. Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

This card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge and for Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try Challenge. I always love doing Marjorie's color challenges and this is my first time trying Jen's SFYTT challenge. For the color challenge we were to use Blush, Garden Green and Hollyhock. You can add a color and I added Colonial White. Jen's sketch was awesome and I think I am going to try and do her sketches more often...it was so much fun!!! :D I used the Simple Beauty stamp set for this card...it was one of CTMH's Stamp of the Month...sorry I can't remember which month, but it is my first time inking it up! I also used some B&T from the Floral Tapestry paper pack...I just love polka dots and I sanded all the Blush and Hollyhock CS. I ink distressed the Colonial White with Garden Green on both images and sentiment. I added some Colonial White Bigger Brads and smaller brads. I hope I get to get another card done b/f I call it quits for the night, but we'll see b/c my show Brother's & Sister's comes on tonight!!!! :D

Marjorie's Color Challenge #12...

Good Morning!!! It felt so great to sleep in...I totally needed that rest!!! :D
Well just as I promised here is the card I did for Marjorie's Color Challenge #12. This color challenge was a real challenge for me!!! I knew what stamps I wanted to use, but wasn't sure it was gonna come out right. Anyway the colors used were Crystal Blue, Orchid Bouquet, Citrus Leaf, & Pink Carnation.

My base is a 5" x 10" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I then cute a 5" x 5" piece of Crystal Blue to to adhere to my CS, but not before running it through my Cuttlebug using the Spots & Dots Folder. My next step was to cut a 2.25" x 5" piece of Orchid Bouquet CS and then a 2" x 5" piece of Citrus Leaf Textured CS. I adhered the Citrus Leaf TCS on top of the Orchid Bouquet and then took out my paper piercer and pierced the top and bottom of both pieces. Now on to my image. I stamped this cute Elephant (from CTMH's new Stamp of the Month "Life's a Jungle") in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink onto a piece of White Daisy CS. I then colored him with my pencils and punched him out with my Mega Circle Punch. I then cut out a circle of Pink Carnation CS with my Coluzzle to matte the Elephant. Next I sanded and pierced the edge of the circle. My next step was to stamp the sentiment. I stamped it in BGB Ink onto a piece of White Daisy CS and then matted it on top of some Citrus Leaf TCS. I pierced the bottom right corner and then added some flowers and a white brad to the side of the sentiment. I also added flowers to my circle. I think this Elephant is too cute!!! Thanks Marjorie for challenge!!! :D

Stamps: Life's a Jungle (CTMH Stamp of the Month) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black
Paper: Crystal Blue, Orchid Bouquet, Citrus Leaf, White Daisy & Pink Carnation CS (CTMH)
Other: Paper Piercer, White Daisy Brads (CTMH), Flowers from my stash and a few Primas, CB Spots & Dots

Marjorie's Color Challenge #10...

This card is for Marjorie's Color Challenge #10. The challenge was to use the colors Topiary, Buttercup, Kiwi, & Citrus Leaf. I decided I would add black to make my card POP!!! :D This card was inspired by a card that Rohla on SCS made. I started out with a 5" x 10" piece of White Daisy CS folded in half. I then cut a 4 3/4" piece of Topiary TCS to matte on my base and then a 4 1/2" piece of Buttercup CS to matte on the Topiary. I used my Rustic Flowers stamp set and random stamped onto a piece of White Daisy CS and added two black brads to the center of the two larger flowers. I then stamped the word WISH in Brilliance Graphite Black ink on the random stamped CS. I got the new CB Swiss Dots folder today and could not wait to use it. I ran a piece of Kiwi TCS through my CB and used my corner punch to make the scalloped edge and then I added black stitched ribbon to finish it off.

Stamps: Rustic Flowers & Card Commentary (CTMH) Paper: White Daisy, Topiary, Buttercup, & Kiwi CS (CTMH) Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black Ink, Topiary, Sunny Yellow, Kiwi & Citrus Leaf (CTMH) Other: Black Brads (Spare Parts), Black Stitch Ribbon (CTMH), CB, Corner Punch

Cosmobella & Marjorie's Color Challenge #8

Here is my card for Marjorie's color challenge #8. The colors you were supposed to use were Key Lime, Breeze, Sunny Yellow & Clover Meadow. I didn't have Clover Meadow so I used Topiary instead. Cosmobella is one of my faves. I stamped her in Brilliance Black Ink on White Daisy CS and used my coloring pencils to color her in. I used Star Dust Stickles to add some bling to her shirt and her martini. I then used my circle punch for the corners and matted her on a piece of Topiary CS also using my circle punch for the corners. My card base is BreezeCS at 4 1/4 x 11. Then I added a piece of Textured Key Lime CS on top. On the Key Lime CS I used my new CTMH rub-ons (it's hard to see on the CS...I should have used them on a darker color) and added 3 yellow brads to the flowers. I hadn't planned on sanding the Key Lime CS but I got a black smudge on it and really didn't have a choice. I added some yellow polka dot ribbon and stamped the word smile for the sentiment. I had a blast with this color combo!!! :D

Stamps: Playful Petals (CTMH), Cosmobella Ink: Brilliance Black Ink Paper: Breeze, White Daisy, Key Lime & Topiary CS (CTMH) Other: Star Dust Stickles, Circle Punch, Brads (Spare Parts), Sanding Block (CTMH), Yellow Polka Dot Ribbon (Ribbon FX), Rub-ons (CTMH)

Marjorie's Color Challenge #3...

Happy Wednesday!!! I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the weekend by now...I know I am! :D I can't believe we have one day left of January...time sure does go by fast!!!

Well I decided to try Marjorie Eno's Color Challenge she is hosting on her blog! This is for Color Challenge #3. The rules were to use Petal, Amethyst, Spring Iris, and Sweetleaf. Well, I only had Petal and Sweet Leaf, so I added Lilac Mist (closest thing I could find to Spring Iris) and Blush. The first stamp set that came to mind when I saw these colors was Angel Whisper (CTMH). I started out with Petal as my base (5.5 x5.5). Next I added a piece of Lilac Mist CS (5 x 5) and then added Sweet Leaf and random stamped circles from the Angel Whispers stamp set. I used our edge distresser to distress the Lilac Mist and Sweet Leaf CS ( I LOVE distressing) :D On the White Daisy CS I sponged Petal and Blush and then distressed it. I embossed the word "SMILE" in blush, and I used used pop dots for the flower and a pink button for the center. Then I used some ribbon I got at Target for a $1 for the stem. I then added 3 white brads and I was done! I am really pleased with how this turned out!!! Thanks Marjorie for this color challenge. I was hesitant at first but glad I participated! I can't wait for the next one!!! :D

Stamps: Angel Whispers Paper: Petal, Lilac Mist, Sweet Leaf, & White Daisy (CTMH) Ink: Petal, Lilac Mist, Blush, & Sweet Leaf (CTMH) Other: Ribbon (Target), Pop Dots, Edge Distresser (CTMH), Button (Hobby Lobby), White Brads (Spare Parts), Sponge (CTMH)

Have a Fabulous Day!!! :D
