I'm Back!!!!

We had a great time in San Antonio. It's always so nice to get away for a few days...much needed! :D It's been a busy week though, trying to get everything ready for Christmas and I still have so much I want to do. I still have NOT finished all my shopping and I really want to get in the kitchen and bake some goodies!!! :D Plus work has been really busy...I'm taking my vacation the week after Christmas so I've been super busy trying to get everything done before I leave...it's crazy!!! LOL!!! :D Well enough about me...it's time to get to what you really came for! Today is Prettie Thursday here on my blog and boy do I have a cutie for you.

I made this card for the last Stampin in your Jammies Party over at Paper Pretties!!! One of the challenges was to make a card or project for a child...so I made this card for my niece. Isn't Snowflake the cutest?!?! I paper pieced his hat with some of my Aspen paper and outlined the snow with my copic marker. Paper Pretties just released this stamps set in rubbah so head on over there and check it out...It's called Snowflake Kisses. Simply Special Prettie Thursday

Hey there, Happy Thursday!!! :D Wow, what an exciting evening we had yesterday here in Houston...it actually snowed!!!! :D I know most of you out there deal with snow all the time during the winter, but the last time it snowed here was 4yrs. ago on Christmas Eve!!! That was the first time that I had ever been around snow so it was a pretty memorable experience.

Well let's get on with what you really came here for today...my card! :D This card is for the Pretties Weekly Challenge #30. The challenges used to be on Thursdays, but now they have moved the challenges to Sunday...you can read all about it here!!! For this challenge we were to use the stamps sets called Simply Special AND/ OR One of Those Days! We were to also use this sketch that the fabulous Danielle came up with!!! I really liked how my card came out...even though it was giving me a fit last night. Prettie Thursday!!!

Hey there! I'm back today with another Prettie creation! I just love this Angel Wings Sophia and couldn't wait to get her inky!!! :D Monday was the Stampin in your Jammies Party over at the Paper Pretties forum. We had some much fun and Charmaine issued us some fabulous challenges!!! One of the challenges was a color challenge and you were to use pink and blue on your card. So here is what I came up with! :D

Stamps: Angel Wings (Paper Pretties) Paper: CTMH Ink: Brilliance & Copics Accents: Silver Brads (CTMH), CB Swiss Dots, Pop Dots, Clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen, White Grograin Ribbon(CTMH), Pink Polka Dot Ribbon & Paper Piercer

I chose the colors Crystal Blue, Baby Pink & White Daisy. I stamped Sophia in Brilliance Black Graphite Ink onto White Daisy CS and colored her with my copics! :D I also outlined her wings with my Clear Copic Spica Glitter pen. It's hard to tell in the pic, but looks so shimmery IRL! :D Don't ya just love her?!?!?! :D Well that's it for me today, hope you all have a fabulous day!!! :D It's sooo cold here today (BRRR!!!). I just want to make some hot cocoa and relax on the couch with a good movie! :D LOL!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

First of all I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! :D I hope you have a great time with family and friends or however you choose to spend your holiday! :D I will be having Thanksgiving at my dad's house today and then traveling tomorrow to my home town to spend it with the in laws! :D

Well it's another Prettie Thursday on my blog today! :D I have a sweet little birthday card to share with you using the sketch that Danielle challenged us with last week on the Pretties Forum. I had been dying to ink up the cute little turtle from the Beach Bum set from Paper Pretties. I just *heart* that little turtle and snail...too cute! :D My nephew's birthday is in a few weeks so I thought this would be a cute card to give him...hope he likes it! :D (Sorry for the horrible picture! I will take another and post later!)

Prettie Saturday!!!

Hey there, Happy Saturday!!! :D I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weekend!!! :D We are about to head out to my nephew's first soccer game so I gotta make this quick! I'm so sorry I didn't post on Prettie Thursday, so I hope this will do! :D I wasn't too sure about this card, but the more I look at it the more I love it!!! :D I used the super cute Trim the Tree Sophia who is the November Stamp of the month!!! I paired her with my Just Chillin papers from CTMH, not your traditional Christmas colors, but I love it! :D I also used last weeks sketch challenge over on the Prettie Forum that the fabulous Danielle made, isn't it great?!?! :D I'm sure I'll be using this sketch again soon! :D

Prettie Thursday!!!

Happy Thursday!!! :D We are having the most fabulous weather here in Houston. I just {heart} cool, crisp mornings! :D Mornings I can straighten my hair and it won't frizz up!!! LOL!!! :D Well yesterday was a pretty sad day for me. Since Hurricane Ike I haven't been back to work in Galveston, but yesterday I got to go back and work there for the day and I just couldn't believe the destruction as I drove in. I mean you see things on TV, but it just doesn't prepare you for the real thing. My heart was saddened and I hope they can get things back to normal soon!!!

Well let's get on with my card, shall we?!?! I had my Evensong paper still sitting on my table and thought it would be cute paired with Sweets for the Sweet! :D I used a sketch that Danielle challenged us to use about two weeks ago...I guess better late than never, right?!?! I loved this sketch so I just had to do it and I thought it would be a great card to send with some Christmas goodies!!! It's a square card, go figure and I used Cranberry CS as my base. I then added a 1/4" smaller piece of Sorbet CS that I ran through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder, and used the reverse side and adhered it to my base. Next I placed two different squares of dp down and started working on my image. I just love this super cute image!!! I colored it with my copics pulling the colors from my paper. Next I layered my image onto a piece of Olive CS and stamped the sentiment in Brilliance Graphite Black Ink under my image. I then paper pieced around the image and added a pretty red felt flower. Once my image was pop dotted onto my base I added two White Daisy brads and called it done! :D It's pretty simple but I think it's missing something, maybe I should add some ribbon?!?! Lovin' Sophia...

Happy Friday!!! I'm so glad that the weekend is here and I hope to get a lot of stamping done too!!! :D I was able to cut out all my paper early last night for my class tonight, so I decided to make this card before I called it a night. Danielle at the Paper Pretties forum challenged us last week to make a card using this sketch! :D What a fun sketch it was and here is what I came up with! :D I just love little Sophia...isn't she the cutest?!?! :D When I saw this challenge I knew I wanted to use the Good Times paper pack for all the different little strips of dp and I really like how it came out! :D Well I need to head out the door already so I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by! :D

Paper Pretties Polka Dot Challenge...

Hey there...Happy Thursday!!! One more day till my hubby comes home...I'm just counting the days!!! LOL!!! :D

We'll here is my first challenge card for Paper Pretties. Danielle challenged us to use polka dots! I mean, who out there doesn't like Polka dots...I really thought this was a great challenge!!! :D I used some dp from We R Memory Makers called Frenzy...I just love the colors. I colored Sophia using my copics and I also used my copic spica glitter pen to add some shimmer to the butterfly...looks very prettie IRL. I placed the my Sophia image onto a piece of Sunflower CS that I punched with my Marvy scallop punch then ran through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder and pop dotted her onto my card. Pretty easy peasy!!! Sorry this post is short and sweet...but gotta finish getting ready for work!!! LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by!!! :D
