Sweet Sunday Sketch #11

Hey there! Well I was finally able to take a decent pic of my card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #11. I've had it done since Monday, but we've had crappy weather all week and today is the first day that it's not raining (well we did have a storm come through this morning, but it' gone now) and the sun is brightly shining! :D

I used my Growing with Unity stamp for this card...that bird is so whimsical! :D I didn't do a whole lot to this card...just didn't think it needed too much froo froo stuff on it. So when I was done I just added some brads and a Prima and called it done!

Well I hope everyone is enjoying their Thursday! I had jury duty (thank goodness I didn't get picked) this morning and just got home from eating lunch with my hubby! :) He didn't even know I was coming to see him, so he was totally shocked! I even got lost when I was in Downtown Houston, but I wanted it to be a surprise so I couldn't call to ask him to help me!!! LOL!!! :) But I found my way around and all was good.

Well I'm off to get some laundry done, take a nap and then off to boot camp I go! So have a great afternoon and hope to be back soon with something crafty! :) ~ Jenn

Happy Fall...

Happy Wednesday!!! :D So glad the weekend is almost here. I know I say that all the time but I really look forward to the weekends!!! :D Well last night I was able to get a few things done stamping wise! I made two cards, but I will show you the other tomorrow! :D I really, really like how this card came out. I'm really not into fall colors but I really like these colors together!!! :D I used a stamp set that I've had for a months and it hadn't seen ink yet. I used the Growing in Unity set from Unity Stamps. I love this tree and it's the main reason why I bought this set, so I was super glad I got to ink it up!

Stamps: Growing in Unity (Unity Stamps), Say It In Style & Sans Alpha (CTMH) Paper: Enchanted DP & Barn Red TCS, Pansy Purple TCS & White Daisy CS (CTMH) Ink: Autumn Terracotta & Olive (CTMH) Accents: Pewter Spiral Clip, Pewter Brads & Olive Grosgrain Ribbon (CTMH), Kaiser Pearls & Pop Dots

My base is a 5" x 10 1/2" piece of Barn Red TCS. I know, weird card size, but when I was cutting my dp I forgot to move the base and I cut into it, so I had to trim it. Anywho, I used a piece of Enchanted dp that I've had for over a year and this is the first time I've used it...I know shame, shame, shame! LOL!!! :D Next I worked on my image. I love the tree in this set, it looks so whimsical to me!!! So I inked it up with Autumn Terracotta Ink and stamped it onto a piece of White Daisy CS. I then layered my tree onto a piece of Pansy Purple TCS and lightly distressed the edges with my scissors. Next I found these Kaiser pearls that I've been hoarding and thought they would look perfect on the tree and IMHO I think they do! :D Next I added a pewter spiral clip to the top left corner with some Olive Grosgrain Ribbon attached to it. For my sentiment I used a couple of stamp sets to make it work. I stamped Happy Fall in Olive ink and added some pewter brads to each end. I then pop dotted the image to my base and called it done!!! :D

Paper Pretties Polka Dot Challenge...

Hey there...Happy Thursday!!! One more day till my hubby comes home...I'm just counting the days!!! LOL!!! :D

We'll here is my first challenge card for Paper Pretties. Danielle challenged us to use polka dots! I mean, who out there doesn't like Polka dots...I really thought this was a great challenge!!! :D I used some dp from We R Memory Makers called Frenzy...I just love the colors. I colored Sophia using my copics and I also used my copic spica glitter pen to add some shimmer to the butterfly...looks very prettie IRL. I placed the my Sophia image onto a piece of Sunflower CS that I punched with my Marvy scallop punch then ran through my CB using the Swiss Dots folder and pop dotted her onto my card. Pretty easy peasy!!! Sorry this post is short and sweet...but gotta finish getting ready for work!!! LOL!!! Thanks for stopping by!!! :D

Euphoria Happy Birthday!!!

Hey there! It feels like forever since I've posted anything! My sister got after me and said, "Man Jenn you haven't posted anything in a long time!" I thought it was funny so this is for her too! :D I needed to make a birthday card for someone and I tried and tried last night, but my mojo has been on low lately! So after a few failed attempts I decided to just go to bed and try again in the morning. Good thing I did because I really love the outcome of this card! :D

Stamps: Cupcake A La Yummy (Unity Stamps) & Happy Birthday (CTMH) Paper: Hydrangea, Crystal Blue, White Daisy & Sweet Leaf CS (CTMH) & Basic Grey Euphoria Ink: Copic Markers, Brilliance Graphite Black, & White Daisy (CTMH) Accents: Pink Satin Ribbon (Basic Basic), Scallop Circle Punch & Circle Punch (Paper Studio), Corner Rounder, Hole Punch, & CB Swiss Dots

Now I can never really get the true colors of the card to come out, but I used Hydrangea CS as my base and used my new Basic Grey Euphoria paper...I just love this paper!!! :D I used my corner rounder to do the scallops, but let me tell you as soon as I can order the new scallop punch from Stampin Up! I will!!! :D I just love these cupcake stamps from Unity...isn't that cupcake YUMMY?!?!? :D Then I just used some pink satin ribbon to finish it off, not really sure how my bow came out that good, but I'm so glad it did and I did it in one try...yay me!!! LOL!!! :D Well I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weekend. Bella Color Challenge #36...

Hey there! Just got back from church and lunch and thought I would post a quick card I did for the Bella Color Challenge this week. Sparkle chose the colors Sweet Leaf, Ocean, Holiday Red and Desert Sand. When I saw the colors I was like, " Desert Sand"?!?! I don't think I have ever used that color before, but I think I made it work!!! I might have to start using it more often as it is slowly starting to grow on me!!! :D

I used Desert Sand for my base and RS flowers from the Rustic Flowers stamp set also in Desert Sand. I then colored Cakeabella using my Copics & Ocean Ink Pad and Blender Pen. I matted her on a piece of Holiday Red CS and pop dotted her onto my base. I also got to use more of that American Crafts Ribbon I had on on this card as well and the sentiment is from the Cupcake A'La Yummy set from Unity stamps. Well I hope you are enjoying your Sunday! A Trio of Cupcakes

Here there, I'm back!!! So I've been stamping away and here is a card for another one of my favorite challenges, Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #24!!! She always has some fun sketches and this one was no exception, and of course what a great excuse for me to use my new cupcake stamps!!! Wow these cupcakes are so bright, but I love them. This is some of my new paper from my LSS, it is called Frenzy-Mania by We R Memory Makers. I colored my cupcakes with Copic markers and then paper pieced the liners with the same paper from this collection. I also added some red sparkles to the tops of the cupcakes and the ribbon is from American Crafts. I've had this ribbon for a while now and I was so glad that I had the chance to use it for this card. Well back I go to do some more challenges! I'm gonna go work on the Bella challenges for this week, be back later! :D

New Stamps & A SFYTT...

Yay!!! I got my new stamps and I'm doing the happy dance!!! I got home yesterday evening and there they were, waiting for me on my front doorstep. I was so excited that I got my new stamp set from Unity Stamps called "Cupcake A'La Yummy" and yes they are yummy!!!! :D I couldn't wait to just ink them up!!! I got some new paper at my LSS today from Cosmo Cricket called Hello Sunshine. I just love the bold colors in this paper, I am just kicking myself that I didn't get more. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make another trip! ;D

So I decided to try out Jen del Muro's SFYTT again this Saturday. It seemed like a pretty easy sketch and I knew that I was gonna use my new cupcake stamps & paper! I'm really lovin' how this card came out, it just looks so fun!!! :D Well that's it for me right now, I'm off to do some more stamping!!! :D Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are having a great weekend! :D
